| We've stayed at this hotel before and returned because we really enjoyed relaxing on our balcony over the beautiful inner courtyard. This trip we were unable to get an inside room. As the hotel is 1/2 block off Bourbon Street it was loud some nights. At about 11 PM nearby establishments did seem to turn down the volume. Staff were generally very friendly and helpful, but there were occasional mess-ups. They are still understaffed so room cleaning is limited to 3 times per day. This hotel is very conveniently located, and great if you have an inside room. It has much more ambience than staying in the larger chains. There is more of a European atmosphere which blends nicely with the Quarter experience.

| I was very satisfied with this hotel. Very nice room,& a very convienient location. It was quite noisy late at night/early morning on the weekend though, due to it's close proximity to Burbon Street.

| Centrally located in French Quarter, with a quaint and pleasant atomosphere. However location half a block from Bourbon St. meant that outside rooms were noisy day and night. Having no table, chair, microwave or fridge was inconvenient for business traveler; although there was an iron and ironing board, the iron dripped. Hot water handle in tub was loose, but servicable. Maid service was every other day. Having said that, in all other aspects it was perfectly satisfactory. Room was clean and comfortable, courtyard is pleasant (although the small pool was littered with leaves, and did not invite swimming.) With expectations adjusted more to travel abroad than 'mall America' your stay will be perfectly enjoyable. Just get a room facing the courtyard, not the street.

| Location is excellent. Room fairly comfortable. Rooms cleaned only every other day. Front desk staff (including consierge)not knowledgeable or helpful. There was no phone in our room. I had to ask 3 different people a total of 5 times over 3 days before a phone was finally brought in.

| This hotel is located in the middle of everything downtown New Orleans has to offer at a bargain price. With it's old world characteristics, beautiful garden oasis, and wonderful southern hospitality it feels like you really experienced New Orleans without having to leave your hotel. Just be aware of the old world squeaky beds...you might keep the neighbors awake.
