| Overall a nice hotel, but the carpet was dingy and had stains all over it and there was no guide to hotel amenities. By 1:30pm the room hadn't been cleaned yet. Getting out of the hotel can be confusing. You have to take at least 2 elevators, and there are elevators that go to 3 different places in the lobby.

| Aside from being a beautifully appointed hotel with an amazing 11th floor lobby view of the Mississippi river, I was very impressed with its ready access to the French Quarter and its extremely friendly and helpful staff. I would not hesitate to stay again at the Wyndham Canal. In fact I would make it a point to stay there the next time I am in New Orleans.

| Hotel is inside of Canal Shopping Center. (Nice, if you have a lot of money to spend on clothes, shoes, jewelry.)Hotel food for lunch was good.($ Downside-No free parking. No free in/out priviledges. You must enter/exit with a hotel validated parking ticket. So, you're constantly paying every time you leave the hotel.(That's a bit of a nuisance!)

| We spent a weekend in New Orleans and thought we were taking a chance with the Wyndham. It was well worth the risk. The staff was very courteous and helpful despite their limited numbers. The hotel and our room was clean and quite comfortable. I've stayed in some Wyndhams that left me disappointed, not the Wyndham at Canal Place. Great Job to the staff. We highly recommend this hotel.

| Pool on rooftop of 27th floor was supposed to be heated. Heater had been turned off and the first day we stayed it was too cold for me to stay in! Maintenance came and turned heater on as soon as I called, but it took too long to heat up to swim that day. Lamp was broken, and telephone was not working. Again, maintenance came and fixed them after I called and asked. Carpet was dirty and tub overflow cover was broken and laying in the tub. I'm sure water went somewhere it shouldn't when we took a shower. Seems with the reputation the Wyndham has, things should have been a little better. Perhaps due to the shortage of workers and difficulties still being experienced in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. It is a beautiful hotel and the view of the river was fantastic!

| We have stayed at the Wyndham many times pre Katrina...a great view of the River from rooms & dining. We had no water for baths and felt the hotel was just not ready to be open. Our stay made us very sad for New Orleans.
