| This hotel is old victorian. No air conditioning, no elevator, few "in room" ammenities but for old world charm and basic comfort it can not be beat. The staff is friendly and helpful, the restaurant is good and it is in the heart of the tourist area. I recommend it for those who want a Victoria experience.

| Perfect location, right across the street from the passenger and car ferries and within walking distance of downtown Victoria. The room was very romantic on the top floor of an historic home.

| An interesting older place, staff was friendly and helpful. Room is sizable but there is no A/C only a small table fan, bed could use a upgrade but overall it was enjoyable. We had dinner and breakfest there, the service was great... We'll definately return.

| What a wonderful time at the Gatsby Mansion in Victoria, BC. The location is ideal as it is just across from the US ferries and within walking distance of everything Victoria has to offer. The Gatsby Mansion is a beautiful Victorian B & B right on the harbor. The rooms are fabulous and the dining is superb! The staff is friendly and helpful.

| Beautiful 108 year old hotel. Beautifully restored. Right on the Marina, The location was absolutely breathtakingly perfect. In definately a very safe area of Victoria, and for a lady travelling alone, I felt very secure. I felt like I was staying at the famous Craig Derroch castle.

| We stayed on the top floor of this three story B&B that was built in the late 1890s. Beds were comfortable. The clawfoot bath tubs need refinishing, the enamel is flaking off and there is no shower capability in the bathroom. The "emergency door" at the end of the hallway had no glass in the window paine.

| Great location. Extremely convenient to ferry docking. Just walked right to hotel. Food was absolutely OUTSTANDING!!! Was a bit disappointed in bathroom facilities in Room 11. I don't know what the others are like. The free standing tub with surrounding shower curtain didn't really work out that great. Nice walking distance from the inner harbour. Overall a very nice stay.

| The hotel was in a nice location and the room was clean and comfortable, but the reception we received from some of the staff was cold, bordering on rude. The housekeeping deparment and the gentleman at the on-site information booth were more friendly and welcoming than any of the other staff members we met, including the receptionist.

| Excellent location. However, rooms need a little updating. Rooms could use a lot more lighting. Evidently Inn was taken over by a major chain recently so most all of the check-in and check-out was done at the other location which was around the corner. Not fun if you are carrying a lot of luggage. If you are looking for luxury, this is not the place to stay. If you are looking for an old authentic B & B, you should enjoy this Inn very much.
