| We spent one night at the Kempinski, arriving around noon and leaving at 5:00 am to catch a flight. We were greeted upon arrival before we entered the hotel by a bellman and luggage cart. Check-in was quick and efficient. The hotel sold us an all day pass on the Munich transportation system which we used to tour the city. We had an early wake-up call and were transported by van to our airline check-in counter. Coffee was available at 5 am in the lobby. The location was perfect for us; it was also very quiet.

| The Kempinski is a great hotel with a very courteous and helpful staff, comfortable rooms and beds, and nice bathrooms. My favorite feature is how quiet it is; even though you are at the airport you can't hear any outside noise from your room. It is located at the airport and is therefore a nice place to stay the night before taking a flight. You can literally check out and walk a short distance to either terminal. The train ride into Munich takes about 45 minutes and is comfortable but not very scenic.

| The Kempinski at the Munich airport is very covveniently located - it truely IS the only hotel at the airport. For an early morning flight out of Munich, we could ask for no better accomodations. We used the spa (hot tub), pool and sauna, looked at the restaurant, more exotic menu than my kids tastes, so we opted for elsewhere, but for adult tastes, right on target. The "king" room is typical of what else we found in Europe, two twins pushed together with individual bedding (comforter on top) but it was magnificant to sleep on, up there with the US comparable heavenly beds, etc. Immaculately clean. The "twin" room, looked identiacal to the "king" room, and they added a roll away! Spitting distance to Terminal 1, Luftansa, easy walk to other airlines, OR they would actually drive you to the other terminal if you wanted. Oh, and they really do have a "pillow menu" with a choice of 5 pillow types, and the spa services available actually do include a hot chocolate massage - where they massage heated chocolate syrup into your skin!!! Yum, yum!!

| The Kempinski Hotel is such a convenient place to stay in Munich. Although not in the town proper, you can hop on the S-train for a 30 minute ride right into Munich. The hotel itself is beautiful, impeccably maintained, and the service was great. Having stayed both in Munich proper and at the Kempinski, I found it more convenient staying at the Kempinski.
