Constructed in the mid-1800s as a private home, this three-story Victorian-style hotel was moved to its present location on Narragansett Bay. Jamestown shops and restaurants are a five-minute walk. The hotel features a fine dining restaurant that serves nightly dinner, as well as Sunday brunch. Complimentary coffee and muffins are provided daily, as are newspapers. Onsite recreation is available in a fitness room, indoor spa tub and sauna, and a seasonal outdoor pool. Board games and books are available upon request. This is a smoke-free property.

The hotel is opposite Narragansett Bay with a small beach and a marina. Onsite are a fitness room, indoor spa tub and sauna, and a seasonal outdoor pool. Beavertail State Park, 1.5 miles away, features hiking trails and scenic picnic areas. Private boats and fishing equipment can be rented in Newport. Ocean beach activities include sailing, water skiing, Jet Skiing, surfing, and scuba diving. Horse riding and biking trails are among other recreational opportunities. | Rooms are nice, but get one on the water side. Beds could be upgraded. Sunday buffet was excellent.
