Located in the city center, facing Newport’s famous sailing harbor, this vacation rental resort is across the street from Bowen’s Wharf and its many fine waterfront restaurants. It features 92 suites distributed among three buildings and a traditional New England shingle construction. Amenities include an activity area with an indoor/outdoor pool, spa tubs, sauna, and fitness room. A children’s activity room, barbecue pavilion, and private surround-sound movie theater are also on site, as is a video rental library. A recreation director is on duty, tour assistance is provided, and parking is free.

A barbecue pavilion offers cookout facilities, and croquet can be enjoyed on the lawn area. A recreation director is on duty, and tour assistance is available. The Newport area is a popular destination for all sorts of water sports, including fishing, sailing, and motor boating. The resort is also just across the street from Bowen’s Wharf, the departure point for a variety of narrated boat tours, and four miles from the Jamestown Golf Course. | This hotel is right next to the wharf and the grounds are permeated by the smell of fish. Fortunately the windows in the suite do not open so you cannot smell it inside. Check in was at 3 and we arrived at 4 and the room was not ready. The hotel staff was much too laid back about this. There was no apology, just an offer to "let us put the bags in the room" where the cleaning crew was still working. Moreover, we had two cars (we had reserved a two-bedroom suite that slept 6) and at first they refused to give us a second parking pass because "the lot was full." After we insisted, they did give us a second parking pass and there was no problem parking, so I do not know what the fuss was all about. I had also asked at check-in whether there would be sheets for the sofa-bed in the room and was told there would be. When we arrived back in the suite at midnight we discovered there were none. Although after a call to the front desk the sheets did arrive, the extra bother should not have been necessary. Otherwise the place was clean and comfortable.
