This centrally located hotel opened in early 2003 on the south bank of Bilbao’s Nervion River, next door to the new Euskalduna Music Center and within one-half kilometer of the Guggenheim Museum. Designed by noted architect Ricardo Legorreta, it features a modern aesthetic marked by bold colors and a dramatic use of space that complements its avant-garde neighbors. Its 211 guestrooms echo the contemporary ambience with sleek furnishings in red cedar, mirrored marble bathrooms, and wireless Internet access (surcharge). Guests also have access to two restaurants, 24-hour concierge and room service, and meeting and catering facilities for up to 340 guests. When it’s time to relax, a wellness center on the sixth floor offers an outdoor pool, exercise equipment, sauna, and massage services.

| The Sheraton Bilbao is a gorgeous hotel with a brand new mall adjacent to it that has all the conveniences should your luggage not make it, or for items you've forgotten. The Guggenheim is within walking distance, and you have a view of a canal with interesting water activities occuring. There is free Internet Access, and a new swimming pool. The hotel is only a year old. I'd love to go back!
