| The Grand Hotel Emerald is located in the heart of picturesque St Petersburg, Russia. This stunning city, created by Peter the Great in 1703 is full of architectural splendors and the Grand Hotel Emerald is no exception. Built in 2003 and designed by one of the city's most famous architects, Eugine Gerasimov, its interior blends classic and modern with luxurious touches such as crystal and natural stone. All 92 rooms are extremely spacious, elegantly furnished and boast ultra-modern facilities including wireless internet access. The three restaurants provide an extensive variety of Russian and international cuisine. Fine dining is offered amidst shimmering crystal and rose and white marble in the Emerald Restaurant. The Gzhel Russian Restaurant, named after Russia's celebrated blue and white chinaware, serves authentic Russian specialties. Light meals are available in the in the glass-roofed courtyard of the Versailles Atrium Cafe. For relaxation choose from a traditional Russian 'banya', a Turkish or Finnish sauna, or a treatment in the spa or beauty salon. For the more energetic the hotel offers an excellent gym with Italian Technogym equipment and an aerobics studio offering aerobics, yoga and tai-bo classes. The Emerald Casino is open to all hotel guests and combines a restful Olde English interior with impeccable service.

| pretty hotel. breakfast was inc which was good but the service during the buffet was poor. the breakfast was not great. you are lucky if u got a cup of coffee served by staff. room was nice size but noise from next room woke--kept me up. hotel was not on the busy strip where the action was. had to take car service
