This hotel offers good food at a good price and OK rooms but the service is terrible. The people at the front desk are totally inept and unfriendly. This hotel has many rules, for example I paid for a massage and I wanted my legs to be worked more times and they told me that they can't because the rules only allowed for 15 minutes to be worked on the legs. Also if you want to do the extras that you pay money like scuba, jet sky and massages, these are as expensive as the U.S. This is the last time I go to this place, the only good thing was the food and drinks the rest is worthless.

I thought the hotel was kept in very good condition. There were always people making sure the whole resort was kept up in maintenance and cleanliness. The Activities crew were all really nice and friendly. The nightly entertainment was very well done.

Grounds are impressive but rooms are spartan. Food is bland but plentiful and service was fair. Good value for the money.

We had a very good experience. The room was clean and every one was pleasant. Check in was a bit complicated; rooms weren't ready and it wasn't very organized. Overall a good experience.

Hotel grounds, pool and beach are beautiful. Check-in was at 3pm, my room was not available until 5pm, after a 5hr flight and a 1 1/2 hr drive to the resort I need my room to be ready for occupancy. The hotel room needs more attention. The bathroom is not cleaned with Ajax, lysol or clorox to kill jerms. The bed is made daily without the linens being changed. Your room is entered even when the do not disturb sign is on the door, so privacy at this hotel means nothing. The restaurants have good selections and the food is good for the most part. The reservations system for the restaurants however needs improvement. Reservations to eat at the Canal restaurant requires days of advance reservation.

We had a great experience at Decamaron. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The rooms were kept clean daily and were nicely air conditioned. The food at the restaurants were great. I would suggest learning some basic spanish before going because most of the staff are local (which is excellent because it helps the local economy and gives much needed jobs to residents) and they speak mostly spanish. Only the folks at Check In speak english and it isn't very much. It also would have been great to have a pamphlet in our room that showcased all the hotel has to offer, including spa (rates, services, etc.), activities, restaurants, etc. We really didn't know where to go on the grounds...Although they say tips are included we found some bartenders still accepting tips to make "better" drinks. In my opinion this isn't exactly a great thing but it is the reality. Overall we really liked the hotel and thought the grounds were absolutely gorgeous. The beach is really beautiful (be careful though, the tide is very strong) and the food on the beach was great too. For the most part it is a family friendly hotel (see my tips below regarding accessability). If you go you could pretty much spend your whole vacation never leaving the resort and have a great time.

The Hotel was top noch but it was too far from Panama City and the club at the Motel was not that great. I left and went to another hotel in the city. Definately not for singles.

We had an awesome time at this resort. The entertainment staff really made our vacation memorable. The games on the beach and the nightly entertainment was phenomenal. The only downfall was that many of the staff only speak Spanish. I would recommend this resort to everyone.

Be patient upon check-in. It is a lengthy process that requires many levels of management to complete. Be prepared for at least 30 minutes to get to your room. Other than that, great place...
