We booked a king executive suite which consists of a bedroom (very small, but adequate), a galley "kitchen" (microwave, frig, sink), a full bath with tub, and a separate sitting/TV room. It more than met our needs and was close to the airport which made our departure the next day an easy one. There was some noise of footsteps overhead but it wasn't excessive and our neighbors quieted down at an early hour. Lots of restaurants within easy driving distance and downtown Calgary is easy to access by car as well.

Our two-night stay in Calgary was the end of our Canadian Rockies vacation. The Sandman is convenient to the airport, within 7 minutes by hotel mini-bus. Sandman is a quality Canadian chain, nothing special but has a pool, jacuzzi, modest fitness room, and attached to a major Canadian restaurant with the world's worst music, even at breakfast, albeit with decent food. The wireless service was down for two days but the hotel provided one computer for public Internet. Polite, friendly desk service.

requested a nonsmoking room. arrived late and was put on third floor, which is a smoking floor. couldn't sleep all night, as the smoke from other rooms permeated into our room all night. it was terrible. other than that, hotel was clean and rooms were clean but very small.

My wife, daughter and I stayed here the night before leaving Calgary. It is very close to the airport, making our get away easy. However, there is not much to do or see near the hotel. If you are travelling to Calgary for pleasure, I would recommend something closer to downtown. If you are only in town for a short stay on business, this is a good place to be.

the hotel was fine. The room was bit close to the wedding party that went late and the family yelling to the kids after the late swim, so I would recommend the second floor or higher.
