Located in the heart of the Bohemian spa town of Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad), this grand hotel was built in 1701, making it one of Europe’s oldest hotels. Its 112 guestrooms (some with air conditioning) were renovated in the mid-1990s, and they now offer minibars, satellite TV, and pay movies in a classic setting of plush fabrics and antique-style furnishings. Befitting the hotel’s therapeutic surroundings, guests will find a full-service spa that offers massages, beauty treatments, and dental care, along with a sauna, steam room, and large Roman-style bath. A casino with mirrored walls and a glass ceiling offers a lively venue for card games, roulette, and slot machines, while five restaurants and bars provide a wide variety of dining options. Guests also have access to a fitness center and tennis courts, plus privileges at an affiliated 18-hole golf course seven kilometers from the hotel.

Becher’s Bar Rendezvous - This light-filled bar features a patio, pool tables, and full menu of drinks and appetizers. Golf Club - Grilled steaks, Czech specialties, and rich pastries top the menu at this restaurant at the hotel golf course, which also offers a full bar, fireplace, and patio.
