This hotel is wonderful. We traveled with kids and they were entertained the entire time with geysers, water features, "real" cowboys, balloon animals. The restaurants were great and even the fancy one provided a kids menu. Nemo was shown at the pool at sundown. Downsides: the pool deck was crowded (may be time to expand) and there was a fee added to the bill that included fitness area, newspapers, bottled water that you get charged whether you use these or not. Gift shops are always expesive so don't forget your swim suit like I did.

Nice place to stay, but was very disappointed in having to pay 2 separate fees a day. 1 for parking and having to walk pretty far to get to the hotel. 2 for resort fees which I personally thought was overrated. Also disappointed in the fact they ask for extra fees, but you are not even allowed to take your own ice cooler to the swimming pool.

The hotel is very big. The room I got was a little smaller than I expected. The hotel was very clean, staff very nice. The only thing I did not like was having to pay for parking each night, and there is a mandatory charge each day for a fittness room that I did not even use. The sports bar has good food and a wall of tv's the size of a movie theater.

I booked this hotel through Expedia. When I checked in, they upgraded the room when they heard it was an anniversary celebration. Howevere, they told me that Expedia had covered all charges except parking. When I got my bill, they tacked on a "resort" fee plus a parking fee for "self parking". For such an expensive hotel that was not located in a downtown area, I was disappointed in the extra "hidden" fees. I might have been less disappointed if they had at least be honest about the resort fee when we checked in. You need to factor in at least 10-15% of fess beyond the quoted rate from Expedia.

There is plenty to do and you never have to leave the hotel. The room and bedding were excellent. The attrium Alamo inspired design is really neat. Decor is done in true Texas style. Hotel is close to DFW Airport, Bass Pro and Grapevine Mills Mall. Food was excellent, not your typical hotel fare. Ambiance abounded. Great for families or couples. This is a beautiful hotel and in my opinion the only place to stay in the Grapevine, Fort Worth and DFW Airport area.

The hotel is beautiful, but the standard rooms are nothing special and small. There are not alot of activities at the hotel. However there are many places to lounge around. We brought books and hung out in the cafe on the couches.

we had a great time, the shops were fancy (and expensive) and the restaurants were really busy, but everyone was well taken care of. The grounds were full of lights and decorations, etc. My seven year-old daughter loved it, and was impressed with the cowboys and saloon girls walking around
