| This hotel is a medieval castle , now national monument , near 5 km from Assisi. It has kept intact all its unique characteristics: its massive stone walls; the central structure around which the living quarters were constructed; the underground cellars, so typical of the period and carefully restored, which today house the dining area where one may enjoy fine Umbrian cuisine.
