| Hotel Ajantha is a passable hotel if you don't mind its location in a seedy area of Delhi. Strangely, at check-in time, the manager did not have a printout from Expedia.com. He made me log-in to printout my itinerary, a process that kept us from getting into a room for 45 min. Aside from the somewhat Less-than-awe-inspiring management-level staff, the service staff is good, and the hotel is close to the New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS), which happened to be a plus for us.

| We preferred to stay at Hotel Ajanta. As a friend recommended it. Our stay there was above and beyond our expectations. Their desk manager was the most helpful in india. Many thanks and our total recommendations to this fine hotel and restaurant.

| find a different place to stay. Cheap hotels in india typically suck because the standards are lower, but since I have already stayed here once and had a miserable time due to all the noise, I would definitely discourage all from staying here.

| I had reserved a room with A/C, but when I arrived the management told me that they had no more A/C rooms available. So they took me to a room with a fan, which was actually fine. The mattress was about 2 inches thick, more of a cushion, really. I did have my own bathroom, which was good. However, I spent as little time as possible in the bathroom because one of the walls had about an area about 2 feet by 2 feet which was absolutely covered with fleas, jumping all over the place. Anyway, it was only for a night, so I wasn't expecting that much anyway.
