| The Comfort Inn St Catherines is a run of the mill hotel with standard hotel rooms that are in need of some updating. It is right next to the QEW (Canada's equivalent to an interstate highway) but our room did not have highway noise. It was tricky to get to the first time as our directions were not the best. The main reason to recommend this hotel was the person at the desk. He was very helpful in recommending restaurants and activities other than the falls.

| If you want to travel around Niagara and Toronto region, this hotel is perfectly located and very cheap. The service was great, front desk and house keepers were all very nice and helpful. The room was very clean, the bathroom was not too small and the bath tub seemed to be new. The room was a good size, the bed was comfortable. Negative point: there is no wardrobe, there are some hangers but they are in an open area. The hotel is by the QEW but we didn't hear a sound, very quiet.

| This hotel was only about 10 minutes from the Niagara Falls Tourist area. It is very close to shopping and dining. The hotel itself was not an upscale hotel, but not a dive either. The desk clerk was really friendly and the room was on the first floor, so we parked right outside our door. You don't have to enter through the lobby, there is a separate entrance that you use your room key to enter through. And each room had a sliding glass door to the outside, ours opened right to where we parked. So we didn't carry luggage up and down steps or down a long hall way. The golden griddle restaurant is attached to the hotel, and the breakfast buffet was decent for the price. Overall the room was comfortable, and convenient, and for the price worked out very well for us. We don't really stay in our room much, so this was fine. We spent most of our time at the casino's and down at the falls. The butterfly conservatory was not far, and we went there as well, and that was a great thing to see. St Catharines is a nice town, and we had no problems at all. If you are looking for a more upscale hotel, this is not it. But for a family vacation, and a reasonable price the neighborhood is good, and everything convenient. Including breakfast...
