| I chose the hotel for the price and was happy to find it was worth more than I paid. Fine old style hotel with large rooms and comfortable beds. The bathroom was clean and the towels were large and soft. A nice location in Georgetown made it easy to move around the DC area. I will use it again. Parking was free.

| Room was clean, not posh but decent price. Close to where I needed to go. Used it many years ago, used it this trip, would use it again.

| We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. The staff was excellent - all were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious, quiet and comfortable. There is a bus stop right out front that can take you down to the Mall and the neighborhood itself is pleasant and welcoming. It is just a few blocks south of the National Cathedral and since it is high on a hill, we were not affected by the flooding that closed down much of DC while we were there.

| The staff members were friendly, food was good and it's in a quiet location with easy access to the city. We enjoyed our stay there and will definitely recommend Savoy Suites to our friends and keep it in mind for a return trip. Booking through Expedia was trouble free and the cost reasonable.

| Some of the staff was great and some so,so. Check-in was abrupt w/ no info on hotel given (could not find restaurant hours posted in the room and when I came at end of breakfast, was very rushed). The waiter was very nice and tried to make the best of the fact that all that was left was cold...he made sure to offer me eggs and freshed my coffee from pot rather than the cold caraffe at buffet. Never been to hotel w/ flurescent lights before. State of furniture was awful, full of knicks and scratches and the carpet was stained. When I requested a coffee pot, it came w/out coffee (another first). Front desk was helpful when asked but did not go out of way. I am in the hotel hospitality bussiness (and work at a small economy bussiness hotel) and must say I was disappointed. Also the hotel is pretty much located in east jabip although they do have a shuttle to the subways.

| The Savoy is a solid place to stay if you're visiting Georgetown. It's a short walk (15-20 min) from the hotel to the middle of town. It's clean, the staff are friendly, and quiet.

| Two stars are ample for this hotel. The staff was courteous and the lounge a nice spot for a break but our room needed significant refurbishing and the lack of amenities influence our decision to pay a bit more for more comfortable accomodations in the future.

| We travelled in to DC by train. The taxi ride over to the hotel in rush hour traffic took just 10 minutes. We took a walk before dinner down to the center of Georgetown. It was a long walk, but the neighborhoods are mixed commercial / residential so there are interesting sights.Check-in was a snap since we were pre-payed through Expedia. The same for check-out. Hotel staff were friendly and extremely helpful.
