| This was the first time I stayed at this hotel, and when I arrived I thought it was OK. About 12:30 AM I was awakened by a loud group of young people banging the walls, throwing water balloons from the upper level to the bottom level right in front of my room and they ran up and down the stairs. I opened my door to ask them to hold the noise down, and they all ran up the stairs to continue running around the upper level until 2AM. I think the hotel should have security cameras in the office to check the premises.

| I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the room was. The hotel clerk was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very easily accessible from the I-5 Freeway and was very close to our destination of Legoland. The kids enjoyed the pool and even though we only stayed one night, I would definitely go back to this hotel. When i went to get more towels, they gave me a whole stack rather than just one or two that i normally get anywhere else.

| Very few, if any, services offered by this motel. No breakfast, no in-room microwave, and no hair dryer. Quite over-priced considering there are other motels within a mile that are cheaper. The room was very clean, which is probably the most important above all else. The air conditioning made the room either unbearably stuffy when it shut off or extremely frigid when it would come back on again. The location isn't next to anything of interest. No restaurants, the beach is a good mile or more away and certainly no entertainment. I would definitely recommend, if you must stay in Carlsbad, that you stay somewhere a little nicer. We even went as far as to ask the front desk for more pillows and they said they didn't have any more. It's a motel, their livelyhood depends on them having pillows.

| You need to ask for a room away from the freeway. If you do it is a first class place to stay. You do not even have to get on the freeway to see Carlsbad and the beaches.

| We choose this hotel because of the proximity to Legoland. The exterior was a mess - full trashcans, ashtrays, lots of garbage on sidewalks and around pool (pretty nasty). The room itself wasn't bad; clean and small although none of the ammenities we used to such as blowdryer, coffeemaker, etc. There wasn't even a continental breakfast included. We did enjoy a fabulous breakfast at the gourmet import store with a small restaurant across the street - Tip Top Meats.
