If you have a pet then this is the place to stay. The resort is just out of the hussle and bussle of town. Tons of places for your dog to walk.We enjoyed the quietness of this resort and the staff were exceptional. We would go and enjoy all Banff has to offer then come back to hotel for a swim and a soak in the hot tub. This was so nice to have......This resort has a shuttle which leaves on the hour then picks up in the town this was great as parking can be a bit challenging.I would definatley recommend this place . We all had such a great time there I know I will be returning to this resort.Thank you to all for making our stay wonderful! Sue

My wife and I read all the reviews for this hotel and generally we agree with most people. Our experience was positive. This was an indulgence on our budget but we thoroughly enjoyed the luxury resort experience. The outdoor pool was amazing and our kids (6 and 8) had a blast. The hot tub was soothing. The exploration of the hotel was interesting and surprising. The room was decorated nicely. A tiny bit dated. I loved the marble in the bathroom. The bed was so comfy with nice clean sheets. Luxury. This was a highlight on our road trip. Banff was beautiful and this was a fantastic base to explore from. I would highly recommend this hotel for the resort experience and history. Next time I'm going to bring my tennis racquet to play on their outdoor courts and try one of their restaurants.

My wife & I spent our honeymoon at the Rimrock and had a great time. We had a Grandview room that was worth every penny of the additional charge over the other rooms (it included valet parking, wireless internet and 15% off at hotel restaurants). The view from our room was breathtaking - better than ANY hotel in Banff! The resort personnel were very courteous and helpful. The location of the resort, up near the Sulphur Mountain Gondola, was great. It was quiet and an easy drive into town. The local bus service stops right at the front door and is free to resort guests, if you don't have a car or don't want to drive into town. If you want to see the other attractions around Banff, a car is a must and well worth it. We highly recommend the Rimrock to anyone considering a visit to Banff!

This was our second stay at this resort and we weren't dissapointed. If you are looking for 5 star luxury dont stay here! If you want a clean quiet place to relax after a busy day or night in the mountains this is the place. Our room was a 1 bedroom suite. It had a full kitchen, wood burning fireplace(bag of wood supplied),full bath and a nice firm bed. We had a wonderful view of the mountains and everyday around supper the deer would wander on to the property . Located on tunnel mountain rd it is away from the downtown noise so at night it did become very quiet at . One night we even heard some wildlife howling ! Tunnel mtn resort is less than a 5 min drive to the downtown. If you turn left out of the resort and go for a drive there's a good chance of seeing elk or deer. Also the hoodoo's are close by with a beautiful view of the valley. The resort has a pool and hottub, fitness area and outside there are 3 bbq's for use. Nothing like bbqs in the mountains. The only complaint I would have is that the kitchen needs to be a little better stocked with pots and pans but we did ok. We sayed from apr 23-26th for 10th anniversary and are planning to go back in sept. If you want a place where you can just lay your head after a wonderful day in the mountains thats clean and quiet and the decor doesnt hurt your eyes this is the place and the price is right. . All and all tunnel mountain resort is a nice place to stay and we will be coming back again and again!

The staff at the hotel was very pleasant and courteous. Check-in was efficient. The hotel is well maintained and the rooms are very clean. The rooms are equipped with DVD players which are also USB compatible so you can play your own movies through a memory stick. They have a library of free DVD's that you can sign out and watch at no cost. This was a nice touch. Underground heated parking is very nice particularly in the winter. Restaurant prices are reasonable for a resort town.
