Princess Fairmont unquestionably one of the best resort hotels in the area. If you want an American-style ocean resort your can't go wrong. However if you want access to the city then you need a car or taxi. An excellent price (30% less than the conference rate that I was attending) have me a large double room with ocean view and patio. Restaurants are a little pricey, but it was still possible to eat in the hotel for less than $50 a day providing you avoid the buffet. The coffee shop does excellent sandwiches for 90 pesos.

We were very pleased with this exclusive resort. They have 3 restaurants. Outstanding service. We went with the club package which included an incredible buffet daily until noon as well as appetizers and drinks from 6-8pm. On site there is a gym, spa and steam room. Access to water skiing and jet skiing. Plan on taking in a few of the tours on your stay. If you do the city tour early in your stay it will give you a glimpse of what else you might like to see later in you stay. You will also see things there that you normally would not have access to if you just drove into town. If saftey, service fun and relaxation are important for you then you will love this beautiful Gated Community Resort. Oh unless you drive like a NYC cabby, Let them drive!

Our stay was good. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The only minus in our stay was that the main pool was closed the first day of our stay, so we couldnt enjoy the pool, and the wonderful pool bar. The hotel is very clean. However keep in mind that this is not a five star hotel. If you want to go to one of them, look for the better (and more expensive)all inclusive resorts in other places such as Cancun, Riviera Maya, Puerto Vallarta or Cabos.

We usually stay at the Fairmont Princess and we tried the Pierre Marques during a Mexican Holiday. Both hotels are great, but the Pierre Marques has a much better service. Even though it was fully booked, we didn't have to make lines or wait for the waiters at the pools/beach to check on us. We left Acapulco at night and the front desk staff extended our check out time. And we didn't miss the Willow Stream Spa at the Princess because since both hotels are Fairmont resorts, there is a shuttle that comes and goes to the Pierre Marques and Princess, and guests of both hotels can use the facilities of both. The rooms are a little old, but other than that, the hotel is perfect.

This was the second trip to mexico for my girlfriend and I. And we were completely taken by acapulco and this resort. If you go, pay the extra money and get the private pool and beach club package. Your room will be higher up the hill, and the view is absolutely amazing. This is what we did and we were very happy, the one restraunt on site is pretty good but very expensive and high class dining. It is a $18 cab ride from the aeroport and its anywhere from $4-$8 to get downtown. The pool is very clean, the drinks are well made, and the prices arent to bad for a resort. It is a very romantic hotel with large beds. Which is my one complaint about the hotel, the beds are pretty hard. But i think it is this way in all of mexico so.
