I chose this hotel as it was recommended to me by a former manager of another resort in Rarotonga. As it was myself and 3 children travelling, I needed a room to accomodate 4 people and a resort-style property with a pool and restaurant. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and the location perfect - right on the beach and a short 20 min bus ride from the township. We started off in a garden room - 1 dbl, 1 sgl - which was a little tired looking but slept four of us comfortably with a rollaway. I was disappointed with the room as it was old and in need of modernising. After comparing prices of food, souvenirs etc, I realised that the room was about right for the price. After 2 nights, we were moved to an ocean view room (because of construction)and this room was more of the quality I had been expecting - large, modern, very comfortable - 2 dbls and a rollaway. Be aware that the resort is not 'bure' style but more of a 'concrete jungle'(ocean views are 3 storeys high) but has plenty of facilities such as laundry, pool, tennis courts etc. The island bus stops at the resort and a pizza restaurant, takeaway shop and convenience store are all in walking distance. I found this a good, safe and clean resort right on a beautiful and safe swimming lagoon, great for travelling with children. Most of the guests were Kiwis - mostly islanders - a few Poms and Europeans.
