We loved the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort. It was within walking distance to other hotel's and restaurant's. Although we did eat at the Holiday Inn too and the food was very good. No compaints. I had booked a partial view of the ocean, but wasn't happy with that, so went down to the desk and ask about a ocean view room ( facing the ocean ), and they were exceptionally nice and upgraded us to oceanview. We will definitely stay at the Holiday Inn again. Can't wait to go back.

This is my first visit to Aruba. I stayed at Tropicana Aruba Resort & Casino. The hotel stay was good. Very close to the Eagle beach, the best beach. I liked this better than the Palm beach located near high rise. The pool was good and clean. Rooms were good. The bed was clean and average in comfort. The service was good. The people were nice and friendly. If I go back to Aruba, I may consider staying Tropicana Aruba.

We stayed at the Manchebo Beach Resort in late June and enjoyed the spacious beach. We really liked the atmosphere, which for the rooms is more motel than luxury hotel, but the bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed having a refrigerator in the room to store drinks and snacks. Our only complaint is that the plumbing needs some work ( a lot of noise when your neighbor decides to take a shower early in the morning). But having a nice terrace (first floor beach view) and watching the iguana's while we had our morning coffee was great.

My husband and I just returned from an anniversary trip to the Radisson Beach Resort Aruba and we loved it! The hotel & grounds are beautiful and very well kept. The beach is absolutely gorgeous...everything you dream the carribean will be. We were very pleased with the trip. They could have better beach and poolside drink service. Also, do not pay for ground transfers. It is far quicker and about the same cost to just hail a cab at the airport.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino. In terms of our experience with 4-5 star hotels, it did not measure up. The lobby and communal areas are very nice, but the rooms and hallways are so-so and need updating, including structural cracks in the walls and old carpet. One of the elevators was broken for most of our trip which made for longer delays getting to/from our room. The bathroom left a lot to be desired in terms of luxury and cleanliness. In fact, there was a large insect in the bathroom. When my husband reported it to the front desk, he was told that they would spray the room. When he refused b/c we didn't want to sleep in a room fresh with bug spray, there was no additional follow up by maintenance or hotel management. When we checked out, the clerk removed one of the breakfast charges from our bill. Hardly says come back and see us again. Breakfast buffet is nice; Italian restaurant sucks; Deli food too expensive for what you get. However the hotel is probably the best you'll get in Aruba.

I highly recommend the Hyatt Resort Aruba. My husband and I have traveled all around the world and without a doubt the Hyatt ranks amongst the best. The staff was extremely accommodating and provided exceptional customer service. I was disappointed with the cable TV selection...but we were not in the room for extended periods. When my husband wanted to watch playoff basketball, our concierge quickly found local restaurants and sports bars that were playing the game. You won't be disappointed.

First trip to Aruba Dec 2-7 2005. Stayed at the Renaissance Marina and thought it was wonderful. If you want a convenient location this is the place. ONLY down-side to this hotel was there was so much going on around it that it tended to be a bit noisy in our outside view (called Island View) room. We switched to a room that overlooked the beautiful atrium lobby (Resort View) and were quite pleased. If you want to look at the water, get out of your room and go to the pool. Great view of the Marina, ocean and the main city thoroughfare. This hotel is within walking distance of most of the shopping, dining and other activities that the island offers. Any other tours etc. that you can't walk to will pick you up in the lobby. As a guest of the Marina side you also get to utilize all of the ameneties of the Ocean Suites across the street which includes a beautiful pool area. Take the boat that picks you up right in the lobby to the private island. To me,the private island more than made up for the fact that this hotel did not sit right on one of those "post card" beaches like most of the high rise hotels further up the island.(and in a much less favorable location in my opionion) This is the only hotel that can offer this prime location. If I am able to return to Aruba for a future visit, I can't imagine staying anywhere else. The Renaissance has gone out of its way to make things convenient for their guests and in my opinion have greatly succeeded.

We went to the Westin on our honeymoon and stayed for a week. It was such a relaxing wonderful time. The staff at the Westin and people in Aruba in general are so kind and helpful. Facilities were clean and very nice. Steps from the beach. The activities offered during the day were fun like Aqua Aerobics in the pool. Live music every afternoon was awesome. The bar between the pool and beach offer happy hour everyday from 4pm-6pm with half priced mixed drinks - the spouse and I drank pina coladas and mudslides almost everyday. However we didn't find out about happy hour until much later on in the week :( One morning the hubby and I decided to explore the island and rent a Jeep so we woke up and went downstairs of the hotel where they have a Hertz desk and we were able to rent a Jeep within minutes. We were kind of disappointed eating at the hotel's Terrace restaurant. We ordered a "fish taco" from the menu and it ended up being a fish wrap that was way oversauced. The chowder was good. We also ate at the hotel's Azull restaurant in which you eat on the beach watching the sunset. This was worth the price and the view. Other than that, we didn't really eat at the hotel. It is a short walking distance from many local restaurants. Texas de Brazil is better than Amazonia - FYI. We also walked to other resorts to check them out like Rui and the Marriott. They all seemed snooty whereas the Westin made us feel more at home.

Bucuti Beach Resort is an outstanding facility. We have stayed there 5 times, and each occasion has been excellent. The staff is exceptional, and the facility is one of the best we've experienced over the years. Each time we go, we end up planning for a longer stay the next time. And, we haven't been disappointed with that decision.

We had a short stay but made the most of it, and the Divi Phoenix supplied all the vacation amenities we could handle. There were really no complaints, a first for me I think. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a quiet stay at a clean resort.
