The location of this semi-renovated older hotel is fabulous. In another year or so when the area is completely rebuilt, it will be even better. The guest rooms have been updated, but are not plush. The public rooms/event spaces were very nice and I can see why there were two weddings booked there each day of our stay. The bad news is that the hotel was filled with young wedding guests who seemed to be unaware that continuing the party in the hallways til all hours was not very considerate. One night the hotel security staff created even more noise on their walkie-talkies while trying to chase down some of the offenders. The front desk staff seemed somewhat inexperienced. The atmosphere was casual, but to have staff who just seemed to be hanging out and coincidentally working the desk was unprofessional. The parking is inadequate. The hotel has a lot (in major need of re-paving) for guests, but it is way too small. That leaves nearby street parking which is metered from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. or non-metered parking in the adjacent residential neighborhood, which did not seem extremely safe. This has the potential of a great beach resort hotel, but does not live up to that potential as of now.
