The hotel apparently changed ownership in July. We were not made aware of the ongoing renovations when we booked the reservation. Consequently, there were quite a few workmen around the resort and we soon found out that the inside pool and whirlpool was not available to guests. Also, the dining room was closed for two days during our stay and the closest restaurant was five miles from the resort. My husband and I stayed in the Essex building. The building was in excellent condition and the room was very, very clean and new. We were pleased with the king-size bed and bathroom facilities. However, I did notice that the walls between the various units were very thin and you could hear the t.v. and conversation in the next room, which was very distracting. As we were on the go the whole week and did not spend a great deal of time in the room or on the resort grounds, everything worked out for us and all in all we enjoyed our stay.
