For a casino resort, this is definitely not Las Vegas. CONS: The fitness center, spa, and swimming pool closes at 7pm and the buffet closes at 8pm. You have to pay for parking. PROS: I loved the room at the Chairman Towers. Loved the decor of the room and the hotel. Loved the proximity to the Boardwalk.

My daughter and I spent one night, the night before a flight to Florida, at the Resorts Hotel in Atlantic City. We had a room in the towers. It was large, spacious, luxurious and beautifully decorated. My daughter and I particularly loved the huge bathroom and shower. The staff was quite friendly, courteous and helpful. The service was excellent. We got all these ammenities for a great price. The only drawback was having to walk through the casino to get to the main lobby as we both are negatively affected by cigarette smoke. We loved the convenience of being within walking distance of other attractions such as the Taj Majal and the Hard Rock Cafe. Overall we were extremely satisfied with our stay there and hope to return in the near future for a longer visit.

The hotel was fine - we had deliberately picked somewhere relatively cheap to save money. The rooms were very big and clean. Couldn't get the in room internet to work but the really nice lady on reception let me borrow theirs so that I could send an urgent email. If you are looking for a good casino experience then places such as Caesars and the Tropicana are much better resorts. The locationwas okay but at the end of the strip, so be prepared to walk to other places or get a taxi. The restaurant does a great breakfast for a good price and the staff were lovely.

I stayed just one night in the main tower at Ballys, a modernist structure built in the 1980s. The King room was very nice with an aura of Reagan-era glitz -- lots of marble in the bathroom, which was very nice with both a deep bathtub and a standing shower. The bed was very comfortable and overall the room was quiet. Though the room did have a nice view at sunset, I realized that these modern resort towers in AC, being air-conditioned, are not the best place to enjoy the sea breezes. Bally's has a really big gaming complex, but I actually spent more time playing at Caesars next door, and then at Resorts the next day; I find Bally's casinos to be a little bit loud for my taste. (Next time I'm in AC I might try the 'Ridge', the redone, small casino floor of the Claridge Hotel, now part of the Bally's complex.) Still, the location of Bally's in the center of the boardwalk, and close to the AC Outlet shopping center, is hard to beat. Was a little sad that Sammy Hagar's Beach Bar wasn't open yet when I was there. On the downside, Bally's seems to be a less personable hotel/casino than some others in town.

Huge hotel...LOL! We stayed in the West Towers and the rooms were nice but, if you want the resort(North Towers) you need to make sure you know the difference. The only dissappointment was paying the taxes for the resort and not having axcess to the resort. Although we stayed in the same hotel and paid the resort taxes and were denied entrance into some of the services in the other towers. We truly enjoyed our stay and might choose the Tropicana again.

The room we were assigned was in the Centurion Tower. From listening to people who had stayed in other towers, we made out great. The room was nice. It contained a flat screen TV, refrigerator (but no stocked mini bar), two chairs, a small table and two beds. The bathroom was impressive: a TV in the mirror, a stone and glass-enclosed shower and a toilet room with a door that could be shut. I was surprised to find that not all of the restaurants/bars at the hotel were open during our 3-day stay. When visiting other Harrah's resorts, by using the free Total Express Shuttle, we found that not all of their restaurants/bars were open, either. I don't know if they were closed because of the economy or because we were there during the middle of the week (although, it was summer). We ate at two different restaurants for breakfast: The Buffet (which had an amazing array of food) and Cafe Roma (which had a limited menu). The Buffet is a better deal if you are looking for a full breakfast. Once you find your way to the pool, it's a nice experience. It's not true roof-top, in the sense that you are only a few floors up from the boardwalk...not all the way on top of the resort. The waitresses are very attentive; food and beverages are available. There is one casino floor that it totally smoke-free, which is nice. At other Harrah's properties, you'll find smoking and non-smoking slots/tables right next to each other.

The room was fine, not dirty. The furnishings was dated - could really use a refresher. One of the lamps in our room didn't work. Brown wall paper in the bathroom made the room seem smaller. There was a big rainstorm the night before. The next morning while taking our showers, we notice a brown tint to the water. Complained to the front desk and said that our tower was having that problem but should be cleared up by the afternoon. No explanation was given. The front desk person moved us to another tower where there was no water problems. Also, they thought we were checking out that morning but we had booked for 2 nights, not one. It took several minutes to clear up the confusion but it was their mistake. They had us with a reservation from Expedia for only one night. Thankfully, they discovered their mistake. We wouldn't have known that there was a problem unless we had come down to complain about the bad water! The bright side was that I more than doubled my money playing at their slot machines. I turned $5 into $10.82! There was a Starbucks in the hotel which was convenient. Excellent location - I would say that this hotel and the one beside it, Caesars Resort, had the best location on the Boardwalk.

The Sklyine Tower is a great place to stay in Atlantic City. It really is only one block off the boardwalk (closest casinos are Resorts, Trump Taj Mahal, and Showboat). All staff were polite, friendly, and accommodating. The guys who work as valets/bellman are especially nice. While it is true that the hotel could use more elevators, it was never a serious problem during my stay. Unless you're very impatient, it is only a minor inconvenience. The hotel's cleanliness, spacious rooms, and amenities more than make up for it.
