Less than 15 minutes from Vail resort. Stayed here for a couple nights and it was perfect for our weekend trip. Reasonably priced. Good food options in the area. Jacuzzi was VERY welcomed after two days on the slopes.

Great Large Rooms Large pool and Hot Tubs, Clean!! Nice Location Close to the mountain resorts

We booked the hotel for 4 adults and the rooms said it slept 6 and barely slept 3. The beds were small (we requested two, got one). The couch did not fold out. There was no hot tub. (A ski resort with no hot tub?) No provisions for ski storage. No service at all at the resort except for a front desk girl who was always busy with someone else.

Driving up the hill, you are greeted by an impressive "lodge." But that in no way prepares you for when you walk in the door. Take Hunting Lodge, mix it with the Ritz, and you get Bachelor Gulch. Absolutely gorgeously appointed, this hotel will be a treat for our family for many years to come. The spa is overwhelming, with luxurious locker rooms, showers, and lounges. His and hers Saunas, Steam Rooms, Hot tubs, and a shared indoor warm pool, The Grotto. Beautiful Fitness Center caters to Aerobic, Weights, Yoga, Pilates. Outdoor Heated Pool, Three outdoor Hot Tubs, all nested at the bottom of the ski slope, so you can enjoy the view, while relaxing. The only less than stellar comment I could make is the food at the restaurants wasn't quite as impressive as the rest of the resort. The Buffalo Bar and Grill, we had great luck with one day, but the next, the food came out cold, and it took almost an hour to get our food. As for Spago, the food was overrated. Pricey menu, with not enough bang in the flavor, portion department to back up the hype. Great experience overall, and there are enough restaurants in Beaver Creek Resort, you can just hop on a Hotel Shuttle, and enjoy browsing some fine art, shop, and ice skate. Completely worth the trip!

Pros: -Affordable (half the price of Beaver Creek hotels) -Brand New Kitchen and Bathroom area with nice applicances -Very Quiet (No road noise or hallway noise) -Nice central location (easy drive to anywhere in the Vail valley) Con's: -Very small bed (the "Queen" is really a "Full") -No central air (there is a ceiling fan though) -Pool, Hot Tub, Front Desk and Parking Garage all close at 10pm and are inaccesible after this time (so no Hot Tub time under the stars, no late check in and very difficult to find legal parking after 10pm) I think it is a perfect resort if you have kids, but maybe not the best option if you like to stay out past 10pm.
