If you have a pet then this is the place to stay. The resort is just out of the hussle and bussle of town. Tons of places for your dog to walk.We enjoyed the quietness of this resort and the staff were exceptional. We would go and enjoy all Banff has to offer then come back to hotel for a swim and a soak in the hot tub. This was so nice to have......This resort has a shuttle which leaves on the hour then picks up in the town this was great as parking can be a bit challenging.I would definatley recommend this place . We all had such a great time there I know I will be returning to this resort.Thank you to all for making our stay wonderful! Sue

My wife and I read all the reviews for this hotel and generally we agree with most people. Our experience was positive. This was an indulgence on our budget but we thoroughly enjoyed the luxury resort experience. The outdoor pool was amazing and our kids (6 and 8) had a blast. The hot tub was soothing. The exploration of the hotel was interesting and surprising. The room was decorated nicely. A tiny bit dated. I loved the marble in the bathroom. The bed was so comfy with nice clean sheets. Luxury. This was a highlight on our road trip. Banff was beautiful and this was a fantastic base to explore from. I would highly recommend this hotel for the resort experience and history. Next time I'm going to bring my tennis racquet to play on their outdoor courts and try one of their restaurants.

My wife & I spent our honeymoon at the Rimrock and had a great time. We had a Grandview room that was worth every penny of the additional charge over the other rooms (it included valet parking, wireless internet and 15% off at hotel restaurants). The view from our room was breathtaking - better than ANY hotel in Banff! The resort personnel were very courteous and helpful. The location of the resort, up near the Sulphur Mountain Gondola, was great. It was quiet and an easy drive into town. The local bus service stops right at the front door and is free to resort guests, if you don't have a car or don't want to drive into town. If you want to see the other attractions around Banff, a car is a must and well worth it. We highly recommend the Rimrock to anyone considering a visit to Banff!

This was our second stay at this resort and we weren't dissapointed. If you are looking for 5 star luxury dont stay here! If you want a clean quiet place to relax after a busy day or night in the mountains this is the place. Our room was a 1 bedroom suite. It had a full kitchen, wood burning fireplace(bag of wood supplied),full bath and a nice firm bed. We had a wonderful view of the mountains and everyday around supper the deer would wander on to the property . Located on tunnel mountain rd it is away from the downtown noise so at night it did become very quiet at . One night we even heard some wildlife howling ! Tunnel mtn resort is less than a 5 min drive to the downtown. If you turn left out of the resort and go for a drive there's a good chance of seeing elk or deer. Also the hoodoo's are close by with a beautiful view of the valley. The resort has a pool and hottub, fitness area and outside there are 3 bbq's for use. Nothing like bbqs in the mountains. The only complaint I would have is that the kitchen needs to be a little better stocked with pots and pans but we did ok. We sayed from apr 23-26th for 10th anniversary and are planning to go back in sept. If you want a place where you can just lay your head after a wonderful day in the mountains thats clean and quiet and the decor doesnt hurt your eyes this is the place and the price is right. . All and all tunnel mountain resort is a nice place to stay and we will be coming back again and again!

The resort is equiped with everything required for a great get away. We stayed four nights, there are several great resteraunts and lounges with in the hotel, my faverout was The Glacier Lounge where you sit and enjoy a couple cocktails looking out the window at the lake, mountains/ glaciers. I found the resort to be very family orientated, in fact better than expected. Kids are welcome in pretty much all areas of the hotel, including the Saloon and lounges. What really made the trip for us was the great family skiing during the day, come back to the resort, have a swim with the family, and the best part was the evening. My 6 yr old could not wait to get to the Kids area each evening where he could hang out and play at the supervised play area( for a fee).Thats when my wife and I got to go enjoy the longes and some fine dining, after which picking up our son and retiring for the evening. A couple other conveniences the hotel offers is a ski storage, ski rentals, you can even buy your lift passes right at the hotel.Lots of nice shops to look through as well, the list goes on & on. In summery, we had a great experience, not cheap by any stretch, but we will be back.

The staff at the hotel was very pleasant and courteous. Check-in was efficient. The hotel is well maintained and the rooms are very clean. The rooms are equipped with DVD players which are also USB compatible so you can play your own movies through a memory stick. They have a library of free DVD's that you can sign out and watch at no cost. This was a nice touch. Underground heated parking is very nice particularly in the winter. Restaurant prices are reasonable for a resort town.

I would recommend this resort to any and all families who enjoy swimming, waterslides, and just plain fun. The indoor playground is fabulous and the waterslides were great! We always rent a one bedroom condo and have always found great rates on Expedia and from searching on our own. The condos can be chilly, but the fireplace is a great way to get warm after your winter adventures. We will come back again and again. The condo we usually rent backs on the wooded area behind the resort and is great for privacy. We have always met nice people on our little holiday and have found the resort to be friendly, quiet and a nice get away.

This resort is fairly new and everything is very clean. We had a spectacular view of the three sisters mountains from our deck. The kitchen is well stocked. The room was very clean. Nothing fancy but really great. Love that every room had a deck and a bbq. Loved it so much had an extra night. I highly recommend this resort. Will definitely be back. It was our anniversary and we mentioned that at the desk and they put a bottle of champagne in our room while we were out. Nice touch.

We (a family of 4 with two children 8 and 5) stayed in the resort on 7/26 and 7/27 in one bedroom with den. I am glad I made such decision though there's not too much review about this resort. Here's the pros and cons that I'd like to share. Pros - 1. New Condo with kitchen and laundry room 2. A sepearte bedroom (den) with bunk bed for kids 3. Very quite and comfortable to stay 4. Secured indoor parking garage Cons - 1. Location - it's about 20 minutes away from Banff Downtown 2. Only one small snack shop attached to gas station 3. Bring your own seasons - there's no cooking oil, salt, and pepper, etc. 4. Bring your own laundry detergents - they only supply one small box of Tide 5. No swimming pool. Only Hot SPA. Should you need a quality stay without caring too much about the location and convenience, it's a great place to stay. Kids loved the resort.

This resort is new and has all high end finishing and appliances. It was a little difficult learning how to use some of the high end products. Our biggest concern was the checkin process. We arrived at 6pm and all the doors were locked and the office was closed. The booking process should make it very clear that the office closes at 5pm and give contact numbers for staff to provide keys.

New resort close to the helicopter launch deck but sound from aircraft was not a concern. Very nice suite - lovely kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room. Gas fireplace and BBQ on deck were lovely touches. Overall this was a great resort and the value was excellent even though we travelled at high season. You can walk downtown but give yourself at least 15 minutes. There is a Vietanmese restaurant at the resort right next door. The only drawback to this resort is its housekeeping - terrible. I realize it's hard to keep a unit in top shape when people are cooking in the suite and stay for extended periods. However, if the owners want to keep their facility and the suite features in good condition, there needs to be moe time and attention spent on cleaning and detailing. There was hair in the bathroom and lots of crumbs in corners. All the furniture, lamps and blinds needed dusting. Cleaning staff didn't leave an extra roll of toilet paper or kleenex forcing us to call front desk to ask for supplies. Our unit was far from dirty because we were hardly there but the one day we had housekeeping no one mopped the bathroom or kitchen floors and no one vacummed or dusted. We had a broom and dust pan but it was too dirty to use. The poor housekeeping puts alot of pressure on other staff who work reception and after hours maintenance staff who had to bring towels and supplies to our room in the evening. Otherwise this is a great facility - just bring your own duster.
