The marriot at Sawgrass is comfortable and friendly if a bit outdated. The staff is fine, the rooms adequate, but I took issue with the fitness center. This is a resort that bills itself perfect for activity, golf, tennis, a pool etc. Yet the fitness center is completely inadequate. It is cramped. It is poorly appointed with equipment, bot cardio vascular, freeweights, and fitness tools like swiss balls, rubber bands, jumpropes and the like. There are few benches, and no squat rack or smith machine. It needs a full overhaul and expansion more befitting what a fitness center at a resort and spa ought to be; this is a fitness center that belongs in a business hotel in Peoria, not the Marriot at Sawgrass.

What a spectacular last minute vacation spot. We booked the resort the day before we arrived, got a good price and loved this place. because of it being February, it was not fully occupied. this was great. It felt like it was own exclusive resort, at times. We did not try any on site restaurants or activities as there were many things to do away from resort. Great room at a great price.

Nice hotel in an nice neighborhood. Not enough stuff close to the resort. We wanted to find a sports bar to have a couple of drinks. Nothing but the resort bar was within walking or driving distance. We would have had to drive all the way up to Jax Beach to find something. As a result the drinks were quite expensive because it was the resort bar which is also small. Only seats maybe 20 at best with one pool table. But the room quality was amazing. Wonderful views. Great property. Quiet. Really nice details in the room.
