Want a place to completely relax and take in the surroundings.....look no further. My recent visit to Blue Mountain Resort (June 2 - 5, 2011) was for a competition and we had an amazing time. From the time we checked in, we ran into staff who acknowledged us, asked us how our day was going and were genuinely friendly. We walked around the resort, sat in muskoka chairs, went up the mountain and of course ate Beaver Tails....YUMMY!!! The Town of Collingwood is just a short drive away but everything you need is right at the resort including a "general store" so-to-speak where you can rent a movie, get a snack or pick up a few groceries. Our room was clean, very comfortable and spacious. With the nice weather here, I'd say it's time to pack up the kids or have a romantic getaway as this resort caters to everyone. Can't wait to go again and would love to see the fall colours and maybe even brave the cold to see the snow capped mountains!
