My wife and I recently stayed at the Sheraton Cable Beach resort and had a great time. The service was excellent. The concierge was knowledgeable and helpful. There is even a trip desk where they will arrange outings for you. One thing that Expedia doesn't mention is that this hotel is connected by an underground passage to the Wyndham Hotel and Casino. You can charge anything at this resort to your room at the Sheraton. The only downside to the resort was the food at the restaurants was insultingly expensive. I expect a markup on food at a resort, but $18 for cereal and juice in the morning? My wife and I ended up taking a bus to the local grocery store and bought some snacks and supplies. When we did eat at the hotel, we often ended up splitting an entre and appetizer. Drinks however seemed reasonable and were similar in price to what I would expect pay at a nice place in DC. It is worth noting that there is no sales tax in the Bahamas, and all tips were automatically included in our bill. I found this to be very convenient. Additionally, all places in Nassau take American money and there is a one-to-one currency exchange rate. Unfortunately, there is not a lot to walk to outside of the hotel in Nassau. The bus system is great and only cost $1.25. They come about every 7 minutes, but unfortunately only run until 6:30. Taxi's are generally a bit more expensive ($18 for 2 to the airport or downtown). Overall, we had a great experience!

Hotel and service was as expected. Very decent for the affordable price. They also gave 75 free gambling bucks at the casino (spin the Sheraton wheel at the airport, it's free) and 100 bucks gratuity for restaurant and not included services at the resort. The beach at resort was nice and almost empty, the music was too loud. They have a better pool at the Sheraton nearby that is accessible and nicer. The asian restaurant at the resort is excellent and lower in price, the Steak house is OK. The buffet at the resort is good only if you have kids or if you want to grow a belly on your own!

My husband and I got a great deal at Breezes for a long weekend getaway for our 1 year anniversary. It was an easy weekend getaway from Boston where we didn't have to worry about food, drinks or entertainment. It is an older resort, and the accomodations and entertainment aren't nearly as good as you would get on something like a cruise, but still fun. I would go again for the price. It would be fun to go with a group of easygoing friends. Here are the pluses and minuses of the resort to help people make decisions. The good: The staff was friendly and great, you could always find something okay at the buffet(loved the french toast), the resort overall was clean, easy transportation to and from the resort provided by the resort. Needs improvement: The bed sheets aren't even close to being soft, you can't eat near the pool without being attacked by the birds, it's nearly impossible to get reservations at one of the restaurants unless you eat really late, some activities like waterskiing, the rockwall, the trapeze etc are scheduled at certain times, you can't just go when you want to.
