Although we were on the "quiet floor" (4th floor), the noise was frustrating-(The noise of the elevator, conversations from the ground level, and loud late night noise from an outdoor party tent on the opposite side of the resort). It was not conducive to an early night or sleeping in. The bathroom had only has one sink, and the closet door would not stay on the track. Their was an unexpected additional resort fee to cover in-room coffee and bottled water. The surrounding shops were quaint, but don't walk to far from hotel-the atmosphere quickly changes. This was not what I expected from a resort hotel.

My husband & I recently had a week's stay at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort. I really enjoyed myself! Our son moved to Phoenix a couple of years ago, is in an apart. with a roommate, so the last 2 years included a week's stay in a hotel. What a beautiful setting! My favorite time was at the pool & drinking poolside favorites at our leisure. It was always peaceful & calm, not crowded or rowdy. The pool I was taken with had a walk-in type beach effect where I could lay in the water with my head & arms on a towel & the pool would increase in depth to 3'9". We were on the go much of the time, & didn't eat dinners there. (Chandler Fash. Mall area has a lot of good eating places -my favorite being FISH ROCK. Also in Tempe/ Phoenix, can't remember which, don't miss a chance to go to OREGANO'S. Unfortunately I can't tell you about the casino, spa, or horseback riding, since our main point of going to Phoenix was to visit our son. We didn't use the extras, however the prices were pretty steep to me (course, so were the drinks). There was a lot less noise & a calm atmosphere at Wild Horse; more of an adult hotel. Children were at the hotel & in the pools, but it isn't really set for a family vacation like a few other places might be in the area. Being out at Wild Horse, a person definitely would want a car because the distance to places would cost a bundle in cab fees. If our son is not in his own apart. next summer, I want to come back to the peacefulness of Wild Horse.
