This hotel is older but the crew and the way your treated does make up for any of the "kuxury" items you will find at 4 and 5 star places. The rooms are clean and updated airy and air conditioned. You have lots of cable channels if thats what your looking for. also the Starlite supper is wonderful buy a food plan mod, amer. for $100 a day and you wont go wrong. We have been to 12 islands so this Divi Resort is about 9 on the scale its really well run and the crew is over the top. Please remember that they also like to be rewarded for their good service$ A car must be rented if your going to find other beaches to snorkel or skin dive its about 38 a day or 225 for the week. We went into town to the local K-Mart to buy some stuff that was a good thing, I love the K-Marts here at home. In all a couplke would love it there a group of men/woman and also retired people the pace is slow and the place didnt have children when we went in Oct. We dont see much for the kids to do there, I wouldnt want to bring kids unless they could be happy playing with each other on the beach. There is no "kids" program. enjoy and if you go say hi to the crew from the couple from Boston xoxoxo

We had never stayed on St. Croix before. All the hotel reviews pointed us to The Buccaneer. By chance, we ran into some friends the weekend before we went away and told them we were going to St. Croix. They immediately asked, 'Are you staying at The Buccaneer?' They stayed there for their honeymoon 25 years ago, and said they loved it there. We loved how you could walk around the grounds of the hotel to get to the different beaches and pools. It was like being in a tropical wildlife sanctury, too - geckos, iguanas, ferrets and tropical birds roamed the entire resort. The resort had some different events during the week - a welcome reception with drinks and mokojumbie dancers (wearing colorful costumes while dancing on stilts). They had a 'Grey Goose Martini' night, and all GG drinks and apps were 1/2 price. They had live entertainment featuring a steel drum band, and a kid whose family has stayed at The Buccaneer over the years came back and performed some magic tricks. The staff were always friendly and attentive. The room had a great porch overlooking the ocean, as well as a wonderful jacuzzi tub. All in all, we would highly recommend staying at The Buccaneer.

Stayed Nov 26-Dec 10. and loved every minute of it. This is the 4th resort on St Croix we've stayed at and liked it the best. What makes it special is the staff-simply the friendliest and nicest group we've ever encountered from Jerry and Mimi at the beach, Beth and Brandy at the restaurant, the gilrls in the office, and the houskeeping girl who wished us a safe trip back. 1. Food is great and reasonably priced. You can even get breakfast at 7:00 AM. 2. Beach is super for snorkeling, kayaking, and well maintained 3. 5 minute drive into Christiansted. 4. Room was 30 feet from the ocean with a beautiful view of Green Cay and Buck Island. 5. Grounds and room were kept immaculate 6. Ice machine Website photos don't do it justice. The only bad thing was leaving. We'll be back for sure.
