Resort was great. Very, very clean!! They are constanly cleaning and/or touching up the paint around the hotel. The landscaping and the views are fantastic. Beach is small and has rocks and boulders under the water. Making it uncomfortable to walk in the water. Water pretty clear. You can see the fish in 5-8 foot of water that come close to shore. Beach bars and snack bars were very good and staffed with competant people. You'll love the margaritas!!! Different entertainment/educational activities on the hour was great. Nightly shows at the outdoor theater are very good. They are a must see! Food was great! Buffett and Restaraunts have a variety of choices so you can try lots of different food and never get bored. We made reservations one evening at the Italian Restaraunt. It had great food. We all (4 of us) ordered something different and we all were served excellant food. In addition to shopping in the town there is a pier about 3 blocks south of the Park Royal for the cruise ships to let people off. Consequently there are some nice shops there that are within easy walking distance from the Park Royal. We had fun shopping there. Cozumel is neat! We now wish we had booked for about 2 more days at least because there were so many things we didn't have time to do or see! Overall we were very, very pleased with the Park Royal. If we go to Cozumel again we would definitly stay there.

A great place to play. Rooms were less than desirable, small and cramped but took care of the basic needs. Hammock was a nice touch. Room cleaning was great about giving you the space each day but when you tried to find them to get a towel or shampoo, it was difficult. Language barrier definitely a problem. The rest of the resort was great outside the room. Wonderful family place where we felt the kids were safe and having fun. The all inclusive had its ups and downs. Getting drinks was great and the food availability was good. The food quality was as most others have said, nothing to get excited about but we did not go hungry. The sales people got a little annoying at times but if you were direct with them, they stopped bothering you. Overall a great experience and a nice place. I would rate it a 6 out of 10.

This resort was amazing! Just like the description and the pictures. I stayed for four nites and five days and they were all wonderful. You wouldnt have to leave the hotel because everything you need is right there and its ann endless supply of free food and drinks, but if you do want to go into town its only 4 minutes away to all the clubs, bars and shops. Its a wonderful place to stay, I strongly recommend staying there.

Staff was very friendly and the bar service was great. We had a room on the 3rd floor Sabor Section which was well worth the upgrade. We were able to access another sit down restaurant and another pool. Now the hotel has changed to an all adults. There were no kids anyway, which was great. Hotel was quiet, and most people where in their rooms by 11pm. The food at the buffet could have been better, if you have a choice to eat at either Roberto's or La Isla, do that instead. The beach was beautiful and clean. There was very few people there, so the resort was NOT crowded. At night there are different shows. A fire show at the beach, Indian dance show by the one pool, and others. I will suggest the snorkeling trip that the resort offers, for $40 per person they take you out to two different reefs, and then a very beautiful shallow area, that has crystal clear waters and white sand, its only about 4 feet or so deep. We saw flounder, and were able to get some sand dollars to take back and they guys on the boat gave us starfish to hold. There was a foul sewer smell a couple of the days, but I just figured its common because of where we were. I would defiantly suggest to either prepay your transportation to and from the airport at the time of booking. We did not, so, when we arrived we were charged $9 per person for the taxi to the hotel, but when we wanted to leave, they were going to charge $12 per person at the hotel. That was crazy, I did get the taxi down to $10 per person.

We spent New Year's and the week following at El Cozumeleno. The resort is very family oriented, probably better suited to families that couples. Good variety of food between the buffet dinners and the sit down restaurant. Most meals had an excellent variety, not gourmet on the buffet but definitely good quality. Clean rooms, good service, friendly staff.

We will stay here again. Everyone we had contact with was wonderful. Dressle divers was great. It is a big operation, but felt like a small family. They always called us by our first names. Only complaint with the resort is hard beds and pillows. It is the same everywhere on the island. So get over it.
