We stayed at the Hoi An Riverside Resort for 3 nights from 9th April 2009. We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and will certainly go back in the future. My abiding memory is of having breakfast in the restaurant overlooking the river and the paddy fields. It was very peaceful watching the occasional boat drift by. it was like something out of a Disney film with the lardge butterflies and sometimes a kingfisher nearby. The buffet breakfast was also very good. The hotel is about 3 kilometers out of the town of Hoi An and 1 kilometer from China Beach. A taxi into town costs about $3. The only problem we had with the hotel was that there was very little water pressure in the shower maybe because we were on the top floor of our block. We did report it on the first day and some attempt was made to increase the pressure but with with little success. Maybe a ground floor room would have been better. All in all though we had a great stay there and would have liked to have stayed longer. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times.

When you arrive at Danang airport turn left once outside the terminal and plenty of Taxis available. Cost about 450 000dong to get to Hoi An on the meter so if you can negotiate a cheaper set price you have done well. The resort sits on the river which has a lot going on.Straight over the road is the beach which is clean and better sand than Bali. Very cheap to eat at the hotel or even cheaper at places around the corner. Plenty of places on the beach to eat. Blue Wave cafe near the bridge is great value and very clean, great hostess who loves Aussies. Cost 100000 dong 5 usd to have a big load of laundry done at any of the shops around the corner. Hotel has free shuttle into Hoi An old town.

This hotel is a great place to stay. Very attentive staff. We did have a small problem with our room and were immediatly changed to another. no questions asked. There is a van service to Hoi An if you want to go to town for dinner. Food and drinks a lot cheaper. They do charge US resort prices on food and drinks, though there is a happy hour every evening. We would definatly return to this hotel

If your primary objective for a stay at Hoi An is a beach vacation (rather than being in/close to town) - this is your hotel! It is directly located at a wide stretch of the beach, no street between the rooms and the beach. Compared to the other, few resorts that sprinkle the coast, it has the most luxurious feel due to the smaller number of bungalows and their low building style (all bungalows are one storey only). The beautiful pool almost feels like an infinity pool when you look towards the ocean (no frilly-silly thing with slides, bridges, etc.). This setting is worth the higher price compared to the other resorts. The rooms are very large, with either ocean view, or view of the green hills and the river (Hoi An side). The breakfast buffet is outstanding in variety and quality. The shuttle bus takes you into Hoi An in 15 min, an enchanting small town with excellent restaurants. Fun to stroll and take in the scenery. The hotel restaurant is very expensive compared to the ones in town, but we never ate there, so I can't comment on the food. Perfect chill-out place at the end of your Vietnam vacation!
