With 3 pools & the gulf, there are plenty of options of places to relax & swim. This resort has plenty to offer with activities for people who want to be active & families with children. Additionaly, there are options for relaxation & pampering. The staff are very helpful & friendly. The free shuttle is a great way to check the major attractions/malls. Take advantage of the shuttle & also take the metro. We would stay at this resort again!

The entire team of hotel staff were extremely professional and friendly at all times. The resort is enhanced with beautifully landscaped lawns and gardens and offers direct beach access. The swimming pools are sizeable. The bar and dining venues are also quite accommodating. We were fortunate enough to have access to dining and bar facilities on the top floor which included a free nightly happy hour. This was one of the venues which also served breakfast. The Grill restaurant offers fine dining. The Palms dining area and Moods bar on the ground floor are both quality venues. The hotel also comprises a small number of shops as well as a gymnasium etc. A "kid's club" is also available. There are many restaurants within walking distance as well as some shopping. A shuttle services the resort half hourly (I think) to take passengers to the Dubai hop on - hop off bus. Given similar circumstances, we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else when next in Dubai. Our Sheraton Jumeirah Resort experience was genuinely first class.

This hotel was our 2nd choice, as the previous hotel was doing maintence on their pools - BUT BOY!, were we glad we chose this place! The resort is immaculate! The staff couldn't help us more & the facilities were fantastic! There is a jacuzzi & spa centre in the Tower, which is available to all guests. This centre is like heaven, just beautiful! The breakfast was included in our room rate & is about the best Buffet Brekkie I have had. Our room had a balcony with a pool & sea view - it was very spacious & impecable. The staff organised a birthday cake for my husband, because his birthday was just after we left Dubai, it was in our room when we returned there one afternoon. We will definitely return to this resort, if passing through Dubai.

Good points - We enjoyed the hotel facilities room/ beach/ pool(inc bowling). I rate it at the bottom end of the 5-star hotels. It is a resort type hotel but there is very little around it. Staff were helpful. Roon service is good. Breakfast is fine but a bit basic for a 5-star. Similarly the Indian, Chinese and Italian restaurants are OK but not 5-star. The hotel could not recommend any restaurants in the Ajman area. Bad Points - It is located a good 40 mins to 90 mins away from Dubai (Diera). Bur Dubai/ Jumiah is even further away. Traffic jams between Dubai and Ajman severely restrict mobility and you are advised not to travel between 06.00 to 10.00 and 16.00 to 20.00. Taxi drivers in Dubai repeatedly refused to drive us back to Ajman (no problem going the other way. The A/C was noisy and can keep light sleepers awake. The bathrooms need refurbishment.

Good hotel / beach resort overall. This is my 3rd stay, and I'd they there again. Clean, nice smelling environment. Good service. Great pool area. Opportunities for improvement: - Room service always forgets to bring the requested ice bucket.... have to always send them back for it. - The quality of the lentils soup is not consistent.... had it 3 times in my room and it was perfect... when I asked for it at the waves restaurant, it came in watery and with little flavor. - The A/C opening in the bathroom leaked water on my second day, they promptly sent in the maintenance team and fixed it, it leaked again on the 3rd day... and again they sent in the maintenance team and fixed it. - The window opening mechanism was almost broken.... did not asked for it to be fixed. - The weight scale is old, not digital, and I believe is not accurate.... should be replaced. - The paid movie system does not work.... I tried ordering movies several times... called the reception who confirmed that my room was not charged.

Though this resort is over 10 years old, service is paramount, location is great, and ammenities are plentiful. A centrally located resort (a former private club turned resort in 1998) with excelent restaurants, beach bars, and 3 pools. Go west to the Burj Al Arab, south to the mall and gold suke, and east to the river and downtown. Private beach cove with sand, umbrellas, and grassy areas to lounge. Marble-floored and -walled rooms with jacuzzi tubs.

The Westin is a beautifully laid out resort with excellent facilities, especially the gardens, pool and beach areas. We were particularly please by the segregated area for adults in the gardens so that you can, should you choose, have a more peaceful stay. There is a 25m lap pool as well as a more leisurely 'canal' type pool stretched between two pool bars. Be warned, if you want a quiet time, do not stay in any of the rooms above the Senyar Bar / Nightclub, club nights are Tues, Thurs and Fri. The noise until 02.30 was unbearable and necessitated a change of rooms which was executed later that day but it made for disrupted stay. The hotel's first apology to my complaint was unsatisfactory however I was eventually satisfied by senior management's belated response to further comment. The hotel is a ten minute walk through Media City to Nakheel metro station which connects to Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Mall and the airport, although walking anywhere is a bit haphazard in Dubai as pavements aren't always complete. The metro is very easy to use. It is in close proximity to Jumeirah Beach Residence and the associated cafes and restaurants which are worthwhile visiting. It is also only a $20 taxi ride to Madinat Jumeirah, an Arabian-themed shopping, entertainment and hotel complex with good restaurants, I would highly recommend an evening visit. Overall, one incident marred what should have been a peaceful and relaxing stay in a high class resort hotel.
