My husband and I celebrated our 1 yr. anniversary @ the Punta Cana Excellance and we had an absolutely wonderful time. At first my husband continued to compare the resort to other resorts we had visited like Jamaica, etc...but I told my husband this resort had it's on flavor! During the day, even though there are activities going on..it's pretty much quiet time for you to just enjoy your mate with long walks on the beach,lay out on one of the beach beds or stay in your room with channel 21:)but at night the resort comes to life completely..the shows, the casino, the disco, and the beach. For all couples celebrating honeymoons or anniversaries..the resort had a special night of live jazz on the beach with all couples laid out in the lounge chairs with complete beach bar service, candles and it was awesome. The thing we loved most was the resorts attention to the little things to make a special event for lovers more special. I would definitely recommend this resort for lovers. Oh and the spa is a must!!

The resort is about an hour drive from the airport, but that's perfect since you get to see the culture and life of the island. Dreams resort was absolutely beautiful. Our honeymoon suite was nothing too exciting but still very nice! The jucuzzi on the balcony was really nice! All the food, servers, and bartenders were AWESOME. Everyone was so polite and helpful. The resort had activities all day, everyday! We actually stayed at the resort all week, except for one excursion. We absolutely loved Dreams and can't wait to go back or visit another Dreams resort!

The hotel, pools, and beach were beautiful, however on more than one occasion our maid forget to leave towels or fresh bedding. It was difficult to speak with the staff due to the "spanish" language barrier. Our biggest complaint is the food and the fact it was always cold or luke warm. It is NOT safe to travel outside the resort property due to the high level of poverty in that country.
