I recently visited Fort Myers for my honeymoon and I couldn't have been more satisfied with the stay I had at Pointe Estero Beach Resort. The rooms were huge and the balconies were awesome. Plus, just like a few hotels down, there is a tiki bar called Pincher's that was really nice. Happy Hour was a good time. Cheap food and drinks. Another bonus was the fact that a trolley ran up and down the main stretch, and you could ride it wherever for a quarter. Overall, awesome time and awesome facility.

I stayed at the Pink Shell Resort on Dec 27-31, 2007. My room was a suite 3405, very nice, like new, with a great view. The beach was well supplied with chairs, and dragged every morning. I can't say anything bad about the hotel or service, everything was excellent. I would return there without hesitation. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. It's located in a nice location to the town, with shopping a walk away. I ate at JoJo's as well, all dinner's were delicious.

We arrived to be told by the hotel clerk that they had upgraded us for our two nights from a standard room to the best room in the house. Don't ask me why but what a way to start the stay. The tiki bar is great, we rented a cabana strongly suggested totally worth the price. The trolley pick up is right across the street and even if you don't take the trolly a cab ride was never over 9.00 for us. Great Place Strongly recommend. The only way anyone could say anything bad about this place is if they are expecting gold plated staircases. Great Beach Resort.

If you go to Ft Myers Beach for Spring Break, this is a perfect spot. This hotel seemed to have all the party action of anywhere on the beach. I was worried that the music from the downstairs bar would keep me awake but it didn't. Poor service in the restaurant upstairs; the waitress seemed less than enthused to be doing her job. Great location in that it was within walking distance to shops and restaurants. This hotel claims to be a "family friendly resort", but I wouldn't take my kids there, at least during spring break. Other times of the year would probably be fine. As for the room, it had a great view but the shower/bath tub looked like it hadn't been washed in quite some time; I think it was just old. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for a younger crowd wanting to be close to the action.

This was our first time staying at the Gullwing resort. Originally we were going to stay at a Hotel in Sanibel island but was turned off by reviews. It was then that I read the reviews for the Gullwing resort. The reviews are true. It is clean, the staff is wonderful and go out of their way to help you. My wife and I originally rented a 1 bedroom condo but decided to upgrade to a 3 bedroom condo even though it was just the two of us. It seems the 3 bedrooms are on a higher floor which we prefer. We stayed on the 9th floor on the nort side of the building and had both a view of the Gulf of Mexico and the bay to the east. You have all the beach to yourself and there are plenty of good restaurants if you read reviews. We did not pick one single bad restaurant and ate all over the place from fish to steaks to Italian. Overall , I highly recommend the Gullwing resort and would definetely stay here again !
