Having been to Barbados several times before, we decided to take a risk in staying at Amaryllis Beach Resort, (in spite of the mixed reviews we'd encountered) and it has to be said, we were not disappointed! The staff were friendly, the hotel was extremely keen (there is clearly a maintenance programme in place; management have clearly considered the opinions expressed in customer survey's etc) and the gardens are well looked after. As for the swimming pools, we weren't quite sure why some reviewers have considered these to be dirty as 1) they were clean and 2) we saw someone cleaning them every single morning of our stay. This place is probably best suited to those who want a relaxed break at a competitive price. Yes, service can be a bit slower than what one might expect in London but hey, that's why we go to Barbados; for the chilled approach!

This was my third stay at Coconut Court. I have used them prior to boarding cruises in Bridgetown so my visits have been short in duration. CC is one of the few resorts on Barbados that I have found will book stays of less than 3 nights during high season at a reasonable price. The rooms are not fancy, but are clean, safe and located right on a beautiful beach. The staff is friendly and helpful and the grounds are well kept. Conveniently located about midway between the airport and Bridgetown, the resort is is within walking distance of several restaurants and is right on the busline to almost anywhere on the island. My only negative is that because the property backs up to a busy road, the rooms can be fairly noisy on weekend nights depending on where it is located in the resort. I would highly recommend Coconut Court to anyone who is looking for a nice (but not fancy) accommodation in a lovely setting at a fair price.
