The ocean-front rooms, which are relatively expensive, have a great outlook. The studio rooms, however, are close to the very busy main road, and are noisy. The rooms have been renovated since we stayed there last year, which has certainly helped, but it still seemed distinctly average for the price (which doesn't usually include a mandatory $18 per day 'resort fee'). Recommended, but with caution. You're never going to rave about the hotel.

We spent Labor Day weekend at the Boca Cheeca Resort with our 11-month-old daughter. Service was friendly throughout our stay and the grounds were beautiful, especially at night...I love tiki torches! We stayed in one of the bungalows by "spa island" and had waterfalls and lush trees surrounding our screened-in porch. The rooms were smaller and less expensive than the rooms at the main lodge but perfect for our needs. We rolled the pack-and-play (provided by the hotel as they had run our of cribs over the busy Labor Day weekend) into the bathroom for nap and bedtime. My only complaints are minor: the elevator in our building was not air conditioned and the towels were not as soft as I would have liked, but I'm grasping at straws here. Overall, our stay was wonderful and we have plans to return soon and take advantage of the on-site babysitting services we heard about during our stay.

Just happened to find this hotel and never knew what to expect. The location is fantastic and the Holiday Isle Resort has, probably, one of the best beach waterfronts on all the Florida Keys. However, it wasn't everything as smooth as we desired. There are four buildings connected with this hotel. Two of them have GREAT rooms and views and the other two buildings TOTALLY SUCK!!! Upon our arrival we're given a room in the Building 3. Horrified we discovered a room just a bit larger than a shoebox. No matter the king size bed. There was no view what so ever and everything looked very bleak. We just couldn't imagine staying there. We went and talked to Tony G., the front desk man, a wonderful guy who immediately changed our room to the building # 2, right on the beach, two large beds, refrigerator and - no kidding - about THREE TIMES larger than the first room. We just couldn't believe the difference. Needless to say, the whole "color" of our stay changed immediately. So, FOREWARNING: Totally steer away from the Building # 3 and Building # 4. Main Building # 1 and # 2 are great, great view, right on the ocean. Everything else is unacceptable. Happy Vacationing!

Stayed here on our Honeymoon. Had great aspirations to go sight seeing and experience the keys. We were so comfortable, enjoyed our room, we seldom left... The covered veranda, was peacful, my husband and I sat out there for hours. We didn't have an oceanfront view, but there was still a glimpse of the ocean. For anyone who has never gone to the keys, the ocean is calm, no waves and no beaches... the resort has a sea wall, that you can walk down to the ocean and a coral sand beach that has been imported. Stop by the watersport hut, lots of activities to do at the resort and reasonably priced, plus the guy who runs it is super nice and very helpful on suggestions. The beds were a little soft for me, they are name brand mattresses, I woke up a little sore each day. Continental breakfast was great. The Tiki bar serves fabulous food and it is cheap! The rooms were clean... I am super picky on that one and I never once felt like I couldn't walk around barefoot or even second guessed sleeping on the sheets. Would suggest this place for a family reunion or for people with children. The set up would make it super easy for a group and there is a lot to do at the resort. Very mellow and peacful!
