I had stayed at this hotel a long time ago, so I looked up some reviews on it. After seeing some say negative things, I thought it over, and decided to book there anyways. Once there, the hotel was a LOT BETTER than it had been in the past, The entire pool are had been redone. We like the fact that you can get on a trolley only one hundred feet or so from the hotel. I liked the pillows so much, I asked if I could buy some. The manager was very nice, and sold us a few pillows! It is not a 5 star resort, but definetely worth its price...

The Hyatt Key West Resort is a fantastic get away location. The resort is located right on the ocean and the sunset views are fantastic. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. At the resort, we rented scooters to get around town and also a jet ski trip around Key West. The rooms are large, each with its own personal balcony. I would certainly recommend a partial ocean or full ocean view the higher the floor the better. The food at the resort was a little pricey, but outstanding. The scallops, shrimp and lobster were awesome. The wait staff was also very friendly and accomodating. We will definitely plan a return visit.

After reading some reviews I did not have high expectations for this hotel but I was pleasantly suprised with the attentive, friendly, accomodating and professional customer service we received upon check in and the cleanliness of the hotel and our room! The room is small but up to date and very clean! The location of the hotel is ideal if you want to be in the heart of everything! Location, location, location!!! People from all over the island come to this hotel for the sunset every night. It is gorgeous! The pool is not what I had hoped for. There were a lot of kids there and the bar is very quiet. But the lobby is nice. The restaurant offered delicious and very reasonable shell seafood! I was extremely happy with the customer service from the maid staff to the front desk to all of the bartenders... you are treated as if you are in a 5 star resort!

The resort was cool and it was a great setting. We stayed in the one room ocean vista suite and had a good view and the bed and living space were perfect. The service at the pool and outdoor restaurant were great, but not so much at the front desk. We were disapppointed that the shuttle to/from the airport was not free. Having experienced "RESORTS" in the Mayan Riviera, Aruba and Bahamas, the Casa Marina (deeming itself a resort) should offer an all inclusive package option for food and beverages and also offer complimentary coffee or continental breakfast or snacks during the am and pm and even half priced drinks in the early evening. The only complimentary items included a popsicle if you were at the poolside at 2pm and a "drink of the day" dixie cup sized beverage before lunchtime. All recreational activities are through a business that was adjacent to the resort and the pricing was quite high for jet skis, boating, scooter rentals. Again, an all inclusive package from the resort should offer at least free non-motorized sports or discounts for the motorized ones.

Stayed at the hotel during conference as a lower priced alternative to the resort hotel. Older property, sparse and utiliterian, but clean and comfortable. Free continental breakfast met my dietary needs (hard boiled eggs, yogurt and cereal). Right across from ocean. No elevator to 2nd floor if that's a problem. This was a perfect solution for my needs. I'd stay again.

My girlfriend and I went to this resort this past weekend. We had booked a Junior Suite, but upon checking in, the host told us "I believe you're going to have a really great weekend". We were kind of confused, until she told us she had upgraded us to a oceanfront suite, and that it was the best in the entire resort. I thought she was just pulling our chain, but she was not. Not only were we sitting right on the ocean, we were on the top floor, and were the farthest room jutting out onto the ocean. The room sat right over the pool, and from the HUMUNGOUS balcony you could see the ocean to the front and right of you, and Mallory Square was just below to the left. The room was amazing, high cathedral ceilings paneled with wood, windows everywhere, humungous jacuzzi tub that you could see the ocean from. The entire resort was just great, even the courtyard. I HIGHLY recommend this resort to anyone, although I would suggest getting an ocean suite, you just can't beat it. I would give this resort 10 stars if I could.

Our room was excellent (terrible view though) comfortable and clean. The elevators stunk like a swamp and were not in good working condition. The location was perfect for walking to everything you really want to see in KW, and convenient for shopping and dinning. For what we paid though, compared to other places we have stayed (in very close proxcimity to this resort) it was way over-rated for price comparison. In fact, no comparison.....not worth the cost. I would NOT recommend this resort unless you are getting a deal that has a rate similar to the other resorts close by.

Loved it. Especially liked the way the pool was in the middle of the hotel with a waterfall. It made me feel like I was in a resort even though we were very close to the airport and there was the occasional plane flying overhead. Also liked the fact that the beach was just across the street and you could take the pool towel to the beach. My only complaints are: 1-The shuttles only ran every 1/2 hour to 1 hour and you had to reserve one of the 12 spots on each van. Also the last shuttle back was around 11pm. I was under the impression when I booked that they ran more often. 2- The bar in the hotel as well as restaurants and room service only runs until 10pm. I found this surprising especially since we were there in February (during peak season).

Everything went great. The hotel no had issues. The staff was great & pleasant. The room was nice & comfortable. The whole resort is great. Walk to Mallory square for the sunset & evening performers. Then a short walk to Duval for more fun. The fridge I got for my stay was an extra charge, the parking is an extra charge of 20 a day. I did like the time of day to choose to have your room made up, nice touch. A trip to the resort beach on sunset key requires a ferry pass of 20 per person. It does last all day but only good for 1 day. Nice hotel thats pricey, you'd think they wouldn't nickel & dime you with all the crap like extra charges for this & that. The amenities they charge you for should be included like the beach, fridge and parking. Over all I had a great time & would go back with a greater knowledge of the system they have running at the westin.

I too read the reviews of The Reach Resort and decided to plan a surprise trip to Key West for our 11th wedding anniversary. We arrived in Key West via Air Tran Airlines; however, my luggage did not. I had packed some essentials in my carry-on but my toiletries and the bulk of my wardrobe were in my checked bag. The staff at the front desk of the resort made me a "bag" of toiletry items to tide us over. The room was very clean and neat. The view from the balcony was awsome. My wife and I would often sit on the balcony and listen to ocean while reading the paper. The grounds of the resort were well maintained and pleasing to the senses. The whole staff of the resort were eager to ensure your stay was enjoyable. One of the staff members even chased us down on Simonton St. to give us coupons to the restaurant we were walking to. Dinner and attraction reservations were a breeze thanks to the resort's concierge service. The resort is within easy walking distance of the major attractions. Now the bad stuff. The size of the vanity top in the bathroom is very small and there is barely enough room to set out your toiletry items. The $$$ drinks from the bar at the Striphouse. Also, check you drink statement! They have already added an 18% gratuity to the bill. (Learned this the hard way.) The $25/day resort fee (internet access, fitness center, activities program, pool concierge, free calls, daily newspaper, beach/pool charis, coffee service and turndown service.

We enjoyed our stay at the Doubletree. The room was clean and nicely decorated, but not very large. The location of the resort was driving distance from all the downtown activity, however, they did provide a free schuttle service which left the resort every hour. There was a $10 a day charge for parking your car at the resort. Therefore the schuttle service was not entirely free. We spent most of our time in downtown Key West, therefore, we did not spend much time at the resort, but everyone at the resort was friendly and helpful.

Before booking this hotel I had read the reviews and had a few concerns. Having had experiences with resort rental units I understood that each unit would have a different level of use but should share the same amenities. Due to the fact that I was simply looking for room for 6 travelers without breaking the bank, I booked the resort. The resort and the condition of my room (Apartment) exceeded my expectations. Was it pristine? Not exactly because the unit had some wear and tear. But, everything was clean, furnished as per its description and ready for 6 adult occupants. The exercise facility is small but has basic cardio equipment. The laundry facility is clean and functional. The pool and spa are as advertised. The front desk explained the housekeeping and pool towel policy. Simple. Would definitely stay there again. Due to the time of year we went, the drive and parking in Old Town was a breeze. If we went during a busier time would need to consider alternate parking options. But it was great this time!

Was impressed with the resort from the start. Front desk was very helpful and we had daily maid service if needed. After initially walking into our room we all said the same thing, "We don't need to go anywhere else, we'll just stay here the whole week!". Which in the end might be a good idea if you are wanting to spend a lot of time in the downtown area since the resort is on the opposite end of the island. We had a rental car and downtown parking is at a premium, so be prepared. The screened porch is an absolute treasure! We loved sitting out there in the evenings and mornings either watching the sun set or reading, eating, etc. Each porch is furnished with a table and chairs, a rocking chair, and cushy love seat. Comes with a full fridge, stove, and convection oven with plates, utensils, and cups supplied. Make a quick trip to one of the grocery stores nearby and you will save some money on food. Also, there are grills out on the beach close to the water that you can use to grill. Just ask the front desk and they will set you up. The only negative thing I can think of is the tile floors were dirty, meaning if you walked barefoot the bottom of your feet will turn black. Other thank that, we really enjoyed our stay at the hyatt beach house resort.

Situated only 5 minutes walk from Duval street and its unbeatable nightlife, and right next to Sunest Key, the location of this resort could not be beaten. We booked a studio room this was half the price of anything else available, and were a little worried that it would not be big enough given that we had 4 large suitcases plus. ((just come off a carribean cruise) However the bedroom itself was very spacious and the bathroom was probably the best i have ever been in. Not only was it huge, it had a whirlpool bath and a seperate walk in double size shower. All against the biggest mirror that you have ever seen - wonderful. The pool and jacuzzi were very nice - and teh other guests (this is a timeshare resort) were very friendly and helpful re. Key West and where to eat, drink etc. Parking was $15 a night in car park opposite the resort. Our only regret was that we were not staying there longer.
