The good: 1) Excellent location to get to Disney World (just of I-4 but not so close that you can hear the Interstate) 2)Sleep Number Beds (If you like adjustable firmness via an inflatable mattress with an airpump) 3)Can buy park passes at the hotel front lobby (same offers as everywhere else. ie no discount for one day only and discounts once you do multiple day passes, etc) 4) They have a 100% satisfaction guarantee and seem to do their best to honor it. (Manager on Duty did his best to resolve an issue with their 3rd party shuttle service to Disney World) 5) Seemed like nice pool areas and main lobby/ restaurants. (we didn't have time to visit them) The bad: 1) You will be charged a resort fee a day (2011). This is NOT a resort. I booked through hotels.com and then had to pay the extra hotel resort fee for access to "internet, shuttles and other amenities at the hotel" 2) The hotel is old but OK. People are saying 30 years maybe. They were doing remodeling and renovations while I was there. 3) We asked to have a room far away from the elevators and ice machines. The woman said "no problem" and gave us a room two doors down from the elevator. 4) Their 3rd party shuttle service (Platinum Shuttle Service) was supposed to pick us up at 6pm at EPCOT. We got to the pick up location at 5:56pm and the shuttle was not there. Waited till 6:15 to find out the bus left early. After calls to Radisson and the shuttle service dispatch the shuttle service lied and kept changing their story saying they were there till 6:05 and left. Was told by one Radisson employee and the shuttle service we would just have to wait till 8:45pm till the next one (we had already been there for 10 hours and was 100 degrees. We walked fast and ran some to make sure we were at the pick up point before 6pm. There was 12-15 other people waiting there including a man in a wheelchair with his family). We called dispatch and Radisson back a couple more times trying to get it sorted out. After an hour of this nonsense the Manager on Duty at Radisson asked me and my wife to get a cab and he would reimburse us the fee($22.75). He did so and also comped us one days resort fee. The kicker about the shuttle service is that 10 mins after the pickup time another shuttle from Platinum Shuttle came by and asked why we had not been picked up yet. He tried to charge the different groups of people waiting there $3 each person to take us. He talked to the dispatcher and was told to butt out of the situation and leave us there. The shuttle was empty and the company could care less about us standing out there in the 100 degree sun on top of trying to squeeze extra money out of us (in addition to what the hotel pays them). My wife now swears she will never take a shuttle service and we will need to just drive our car and pay parking.

When I booked it was called the Ramada Orlando Celebration Convention Resort. Somewhere in between the name was changed, which caused some confusion when looking for it. It is one of the older motels, however despite its age, it looked well maintained and was clean. When we checked in, there was only one set of towels, I called the desk, and more were brought right up within minutes. The only negative thing I can say is the wall unit air conditioner/heater was quite noisy when turning on and off all night. But that was just probably because I'm not used to hearing noises at night. The pool was too cool to be comfortable (February) but overall for the price it was a good place to stay, not far from Disney or I-4 and a breeze to get anywhere (if you don't get lost...lol). I would stay here again.

This resort is a timeshare property. It has been well maintained, but the suite we booked was supposed to sleep 6. Luckily, the 3 others we were planning to have join us had other plans, so only my spouse and I stayed there. The entryway is a very narrow hallway with a small bedroom on one end (2 queen beds), a very small bathroom in the middle and a mini-kitchen/sitting room/second bedroom combination that is also quite small on the other end. It was actually cozy for the 2 of us but I would not want to be the couple sleeping in the mini-kitchen on a fold-out couch. Also, bring coffee because the coffee maker is for one cup but the coffee provided is in a sealed filter made for a 10 cup brewer. The front desk staff would not let us have any extra time for checkout though we arrived at 2 a.m. and checkout is at 10 a.m. Of course, do read the terms and conditions when you book online because there are a lot of extra fees including taxes and resort fees. Also, the resort will put a "hold" on your credit card until they are satisfied that you did not take anything or damage the room. I have not yet had a chance to check my credit card online to be sure they cleared the hold but I would imagine that they did. Even so, overall, it was a comfortable stay.

This was quite a nice qaint hotel very well laid out with very adequite rooms and a nice pool area. All the staff was friendly and very helpfull. The only disadvantages were 1) the breakfast it was promoted as a hot continential breakfast with a good variety, not quite it was the same for 2 weeks with no fruit or yogurt and very little space to eat so people were fighting for tables every morning. 2) The fitness room had no free weights and the equipment that was there was outdated and a couple of machines didn't even work. 3) We had to ask the front desk daily for towels and toilet paper, there were 5 of us in a room and only 1/2 to 1 roll of toilet paper on any given day, in addition the cleaning person didn't vacume or mop the bathroom floor. 4) The complimentary shuttle that they have going to the various resorts could be improved with more shuttle service to and from the parks, almost everyday my family and I stood in the aisle with 15 other people and on 1 occasions we were in a Disney park running to the shuttle and were only meters away and it drove away on us, when I phoned the hotel we were told that they're on a strict schedule and they have to leave exactly on the hour, very disappointing.

The resort location is excellent. Especially if you are going to Magic Kingdom. The resort is dated, but acceptable. The premises are clean, the room was clean and they supply all the utensils for cooking. The staff could possibly be more inviting and pleasant. That is probably the only setback encountered. The guards at the security gates were always pleasant and had a smile on their face, no matter how early or late you would arriive.

I believe the rooms need a little updating. Our room was confortable, although our room had a leak and water was all over the bathroom floor. The staff took care of us by offering to move us to an identical room or even upgrade us. I was not very happy about the resort charge of almost $70.00 to cover parking etc. As far as I am concerned parking should be included if you are staying on their property. Usually most people are on vacation and going to Disney etc and do not have time for resort type activities. The last day we were there it rained and there was thunder and lightning - the pool got closed and the manager left for the day leaving instructions not to reopen the pool. The weather got better and people wanted to go in and no one was available to make a decision. Very upsetting. Understand when it is thunder and lightning but it had cleared and no one could make a decision and they could not call a manager. Overall I thought the place was good for the money and I would stay again but I do wish they would rethink resort charges. The continentel breakfast every morning was one of the better I had ever had. Good work.

This was our first stay here, and it went as smooth as I expected it to. It was clean, its was peaceful, it was safe, and it had wi-fi, which was important to me. If I had to complain about any one thing it would be the size, its comfortable, but for a suite, its to small. Its like any other average room but with a tiny retainer wall and pull out couch with TV, and that made it a suite. Not so much a suite as an added 8 foot space perhaps. But for the price and overall comfort, really it is what it is, and I would go back anytime I stay off Disney property. And until Disney realizes that paying for internet services in ONLY the most expensive resorts is unacceptable I will continue to stay in nice places like this.

We stayed at Fantasy World Club Villas the week of March 22-29, 2011 and were quite pleased. We were initially concerned to see some construction on the property, but after checking in and exploring the property and the villa we decided it really wasn't a problem at all. The staff were all pleasant. The grounds are well kept, although very basic. Parking is more than adequate. The villa we stayed in on Sea World Ct. had obviously recently been updated. The kitchen and bathrooms were very clean and the tile, cabinets, and counter tops were newer. The appliances were slightly older but all in great shape. The upstairs bathroom was roomy and had a tub/shower combo. The down stairs bathroom was a very small but offered a second shower, which was nice. Even with 3-4 people showering each morning, the hot water did not run out. The dining and living room areas were simple and offered enough space. Overall, the bedrooms were a little small, but cleanly decorated and nice. All of us (three adults and one child) had no trouble staying comfortable and we did not feel crowded. The beds weren't the best or worst we've experienced at hotels/resorts - they were just okay. Both bedrooms had big closets, which was nice for hiding luggage and our other things out of sight - more like home. The screened back patio was very large and furnished with a table and chairs. There were only two minor concerns I had with this place: (1) The stairs were quite steap; more so than normal. I had to ensure my 4-year-old was escorted up and down the stairs, as I was afraid he would fall. (2) The washer/dryer combo is located upstairs with the bedrooms and was VERY loud. I intended to do laundry one night while my son was in bed and it was so loud I had to postpone until the next morning. It even interupted us watching TV down stairs! I cannot comment on the pool or other amenities as we really didn't use any other than the free Wi-Fi, which worked fine. The photos we saw on the hotels.com and the resort websites all appeared to be truthful. The only difference I found was that the TV was not a flat screen as pictured, but rather an older model. All of the TVs in the livingroom and bedrooms were fine. Safety wise the property is well lit and we had porch lights in the front and back of the villa which we could choose to use if we wanted. The doors all locked securely. We will likely stay at this resort again in the future, assuming we can get as good of a deal as we did this time.

Stayed at Westgate Villa for long memorial day wknd. Absolutely loved the resort! Very family-friendly. Beautiful setting. Very clean. Various restaurants and giftshops located right outside resort. Plenty of things to do within the resort (boatriding, volleyball, disney movies, etc). Does have 13 pools located throughout resort but are all the same or very similar to each other. Only thing I would say is be very aware of sales staff trying to sell you timeshare. When we checked in they invited us to a presentation. They lure you w/ free gifts (giftcards, cheap theme park tickets). They say its 90 min but really at least 3 hours long where they use extremely hire-pressure tactics to get you to buy timeshare. If you refuse they have you sign a disclosure saying you cant go back to stay at the resort because its supposevely only for owners (or so they say, may just be a tactic to get you to buy). Other than that the resort itself is fantastic!!! Just be cautious of their "90 minute presentation". Could cost you half a day of your vacation.

We wanted a quick getaway for the weekend to do Disney. This hotel was just what we were looking for. Pro's: 1. Spacious, Spacious, Spacious. This place is bigger than some 3 bedroom apartments in this state. Suite had to be 1,200 square feet. 2. We had three bedrooms, with a total of 4 beds (master king, 2nd had 2 twins, 3rd has full). Sofa bed also in living room. 2 full baths (one with tub one with shower) made it easy for family of 5. 3. Having your own kitchen, washer and dryer made it feel more like home. It was great being able to cook meals instead of having to rely on restaurants and being able to clean all the clothes before returning home. 3. Close to Disney and Sea World. Plenty of places to stop off for different adventures. 4. If you don't feel like cooking, you are on a main strip with alot of different restaurants to choose from. Also close to local drug stores for any last minute items you may need. Con's: 1. The carpet where we stayed looked clean. However, I had to have our kids wash their feet off again after their showers and the bottoms were black. If you are looking for the luxury of a conventional hotel and resort, this is not the place for you. This resort is more like borrowing your friends summer rental for the duration of your visit. I recommend it for those families who live down to earth and do not walk in with any pre-expectations as far as pampering is concerned.

First I have to say the our stay was really great but... the clientele at the hotel was a little sketchy. I know we got a great deal from hotels.com and I guess so did everyone else. The pools were packed with lots of very iffy people. We booked the resort mostly because of the pictures of the resort, the full kitchen and the description of all the kid's activities. We stayed in the one bedroom suite which was perect for our family. The room was wonderful--very clean and lots of room for 2 adults and our 3 kids which slept on the sofa bed. One issue was that the master bed was not very comfortable. The bathtub was huge and the kids loved it! We loved the full kitchen which was very minimally stocked with pots and other kitchen items. There was a Publix, SuperTarget and Walmart very close to the resort. A huge disappointment was the children's activities. Our kids were really excited about participating in everything, but the staff did not separate the kids. So our really young kids were racing/competing with kids 3 times their age which was a real downer for our kids. Sometimes the instruction for the activity took 15 minutes and the activity lasted 1 minute for our kids. The bounce house was a huge hit with our kids. Another huge issue was that we stayed in a building really close to the main office and pool. At first, it sounded great because it meant that we did not have to walk far to the pool and other activites; but at night we could hear the bar music until about midnight. Karaoke night was awful--we could hear everyone who could not sing...sing really loud! I would recommend this resort because of the room and the location. I would just try to work around the crowds.

Overall I enjoyed my 5 day stay but there were a few things that you need to know...RENTAL CAR IS A MUST! Although they have shuttle to take you to the parks, you have to sign up a day in advance and the times to pick up from parks are early 7PM. Next, was a 2 hour wait time to get into our room because its a resort and extremely busy....they told us we could check in early but nothing was ready so we eventually waited. There is ALOT of walking because the resort is huge, so be prepared because you can not rent their golf carts to get around. And most of the kid activities you had to pay for on the resort, even the water slide moon bounce. They have a small convenient store but its extremely expensive so grocery shop outside of the resort.

Excellent stay at the resort. The resort has a gated entrance (Plantation)with lots of amenities. The best is that the pool was open till 1am making the ending to any day relaxing. Met friendly staff and guests. You should rent a car as others have suggested to get to the disney parks as the shuttle timings seem not suitable, but there was a messgae that they are changing. 1 main thing to remember is there is a BIG difference between Oak Plantation INN and the Oak Palantation resort--The Inn (Studio) is a hotel room beside the resort, the one bedroom and 2 bedromm units are on the resort, ensure you stay at the resort. Some views have been mixed as the these are 2 different places. Some bad revies here I believe come from staying at the hotel not the resort. This resort has all the activites, bingo, crafts, movies by the pool, karoke etc to keep busy just at the resort. Excellent! but beware of the timeshare sales! as it was booked thru Expedia as one which asks you to attend a breakfast and sales pitch. Show no interest and continue with your vacation. Very agressive......I am going back again for sure!

I took my family to Orlando for one week for Disneyworld and originally booked a room at a Disney resort. By the 2nd day, I wanted to find a different resort, so I started looking around and was delighted to see a Gaylord resort in Orlando. I'm from the Dallas area and there is a Gaylord resort close to DFW Airport. I booked a room at the Gaylord Palms and was so happy that I did. Everyone at the resort was very professional, friendly, and helpful. I had booked a regular room through Expedia just 2 hours before checking into the Gaylord and my info was not in the resort's system yet. So they they gave me the first available room they had, which was a room on the top floor with an atrium view! Very nice upgrade! A few minutes later, our baggage was brought up by a young bell boy that was very knowledgeable about the resort and showed us how to use the iConnect computer in our room, which replaced resort information books. Apart from the very comfortable rooms, the Gaylord is huge and filled with beautiful trees, plants, wildlife, restaurants, pools, bars, shops, etc. After several hours of walking around Disneyworld everyday, I looked forward to relaxing at the Gaylord. The ONLY bad experience I had was trying to get help from the young lady in the self parking booth. She needs to be reminded that she represents the Gaylord Palms, not the Budget Inn. In any case, I only had a rental car for one day and decided to use the valet service, which is only a few dollars more anyway.

We booked this hotel as part of a flight and hotel package. Our main purpose was to visit the Disney Parks. The location of the resort is near the parks but you will still need to drive to get there. I repeat you will still need to drive even though google maps shows the parks to be pretty close. Parking at the disney parks is 14 bux each day which sucks. There are complimentary shuttles to take you to the Disney parks but their operation times are severely limited. We never took advantage of the shuttles since the timing inflexibility didn't work out for us. The location of the resort is near gift shops, restaurants, fast food joints, gas stations, and the freeway. We booked a 1 bedroom apartment with a king sized bed. The unit is pretty dated but clean except for the carpet. The green carpet is horrid and makes the place look a bit dirty. The bathroom is pretty large and clean. There is a full kitchen which we did not use. We did use the large refrigerator, washer and dryer. There is a living room with a couch and traditional tube tv. The bedroom also has a small tube tv. Internet services are extra. However, you can use internet inside the resort lobby which you will need to walk 5-10 minutes to get to. They also loan out laptops so you can use it in lobby and printer services are complimentary. Overall I enjoyed our stay buy would book at a disney resort next time for transportation to the disney parks.

Check in was a little confusing and we had to drive across town then back to the resort through traffic. When I booked through Expedia I didn't know where I was staying but ended up at the Seven Dwarfs Villas which was nicely off the main road. The room was spacious and was similar to renting a cottage home as we had to bring our own supplies for the week. The Super Walmart is minutes away and we could buy everything there.Disney was about 15-20 minutes away depending on traffic. There is one pool and hottub but both were clean. The two bed 1 bath upstairs was great for the kids. We did lock our key in the condo and had to wait 1 1/2hour for someone to show up. Try reservation phone number if you need to contact anyone as all other numbers were voice mail.Check out was a breeze and the staff was helpful in finding alternate directions to avoid traffic. This was my second time in florida, but first time in Orlando area. My family went to enjoy the famous attractions in the vicinity. Runaway beach club resort was lovely both inside and out. From our room we had the view of the pond and I loved it! If you are getting a taxi from the airport to the resort, you need to tell the driver that you are going to Calipso Cay (sp?). If you tell them you are going to Runaway beach club, they might be a little confused. There is a shuttle to disney land that stops right across the clubhouse. It goes to few other places before getting to the disney area. Universal orlando and Seaworld are also not very far from the resort (by car): directions to those places are not complicated either. Walmart is one or two minutes away from the resort (by car). But I personally think it is too far to walk; although it is possible to walk there. I noticed that water in FL smelled a little strange. Little unpleasant. But it is not harmful. We used the tap water for cooking and everything else, but we all had no problems. You can leave out your trash ourside the door and the resort staff will pick it up to dispose it. I would definitely go back to this resort for my next trip to Orlando! Great place!

Amazing hotel/resort. We (my wife and I who drove to Florida from Ontario, Canada) stayed for 9 nights in September 2010 and got an incredible deal through hotels.ca for the 3 bedroom, 2 bath suite. The rooms were very spacious and very clean. The two bathrooms were both extremely large. If we decide to go back again, I would book another stay with Caribe Cove. At check-in, they have a deposit charge that you will get back at the end of your stay, a cleaning fee for when you leave as housekeeping service is not included, plus a small resort amenity fee. It's not much. Details of the fees are on the site. The suite comes with everything you would possibly need. Washer/Dryer, Stove, Large Fridge, Microwave, kitchen utensils, plates, glasses, tons of towels and linens, etc.... Wired Internet which worked great. The pool was open an hour past dusk. At first I was a little concerned, but by 9pm, we already had our daily swim and dip in the whirlpool hot tub, and ready to relax in our room. They also have a steam room and sauna. Our suite also had 3 balcony patios with 3 entry points, one from the master bedroom, one from the living room and one from the 2nd bedroom. The entire balcony was screened in and contained a patio table, ceiling fan and 4 chairs. The rooms are smoke free and if you are a smoker, we noticed you could smoke on your balcony if that's your thing. Suites all have there own Air Conditioning units and controls which was very nice. We had a GPS with us and we were able to find all theme parks easily. You're looking at about a 13-25min. drive to all parks from this resort. The Disney parks are approx. 13-19mins away, depending on which one you're going to. Seaworld was approx. 22 mins. away and Universal was approx. 25mins. There's a huge Walmart Super Center and a huge Publix Grocery Store approx. 2 miles away. There's also tons of Restaurants within 5-10 mins. We had a hard time deciding which to go to, but in the end, we ended up cooking and eating in every night since we were exhausted from all the days activities. We looked forward to going back to the resort, having a swim and relaxing in our room before the next days activities. We ate out once at Universal City Walk's Nascar Sports and Grille after a day at Islands of Adventure. We were seeing Lady Antebellum in concert at the Hard Rock at Universal. The food was pretty good, large portions. We took our own car and did notice that you could probably get transportation from the resort to area attractions. We never looked into it but if you don't have a car, I would highly recommend looking into this with the hotel before booking. We originially wanted free shuttle transportation to the parks before deciding on Caribe Cove. However, after doing all the research, we discovered we could get a much nicer place for our money, being a little farther away from the theme parks. With the places that did offer free shuttle service, we saw that they were scheduled times to and from the parks and they took away the freedom of being able to come and go at your own leisure. This would all depend on the type of traveller, how you're travelling and your purposes of your getaway. We would stay here again, no questions asked!!! In fact, when we got home, we were both disappointed and realized we will be doing some upgrades to our house next year instead of going away to make it look just as nice as our room at Caribe Cove. Thanks for an unforgettable stay.
