We were in room 208, witch was on the second floor overlooking the ocean and Klien. The room and facilities were clean and the staff were hospitable. The Divi does not have all the bells and whistles that some of the other resorts, but at their price point it's a great deal. We will most likely stay there next time we head out that way, which we will. Remember to get a key for the in room safe and a key for the front gate.

The Plaza Resort Bonaire is fine. It can be a bit noisy as they cater to the "resort" crowd and have music blaring every night for 'happy hour' and on Sat and Sun a steel drum band sometimes. The music is loud if your room is on the ocean view side, which for me an ocean view room is for viewing the peaceful ocean, not overlooking the blaring music. With the windows shut you can block out most the music noise and the rooms with a canal view don't hear it but with the canal view you don't see the ocean sunsets. Maid service was good and responsive; check in was a little slow; the room was adequate and nice-we had the ocean view deluxe (the refer was a bit noisy); dive facilities were great; beach location was great; price was fine for a resort; overall it was ok, just not my type of relaxing place-too much party atmosphere for me. The hotel itself could use sprucing up with better overall maintenance. Attention to detail pulled together would make this a top resort. The main restaurant "The Tipsy Seagull" misses the food mark but if you don't mind average food you will be ok. The hotel casino and lobby were like a ghost town, nobody visits there or hangs out there so I wonder why they even bother investing with the casino and why not change it into something else more useful and profitable. Bring or buy your own coffee and French press! If you want nice sheets bring your own, the thread count on these maybe got to 100, a bit rough on the skin.
