My wife and I had to come back to the reception three times (12, 3 and 630pm) to check-in. Each time, our room was "not ready." Each time, a different employee at the desk assured us the matter would be settled soon. Finally, at 650pm, we forcefully requested the presence of the Asst. Mgr which the employee in charge was stalling to call. Once the Asst. Mgr came, at 7pm, he simply gave us another room. I think waiting 7 hours for a check-in is outrageous, and the rest of our stay also suffered from abysmally poor service, considering the price paid, and the claim of this resort to be luxurious. Our room phone was dead when we checked in, but you could dial 0 for the operator. The phone got swapped, but then the line went dead the next day. The phone was now working, but was useless without a line. It took us again three trips to the front desk to get someone to fix it. Everyday we had to go to the front desk to complain about something (no toiletries, for instance, no Do Not Disturb sign, etc), and return three times before anything got done. I've never seen such poor service, and do not recommend this hotel if you are looking to relax without any hassles.

As you lie by the pool with a soft breeze cooling the beautiful sunny day with a Pina Colada in your hand, your cares simply drift away for the time you spend here. The food was great, the beds soft, everything spotless and the hospitality was tremendous. You get every penny's worth here and then some. If you want a place to relax and unwind, this is it. If you're looking for lots of action, try Punta Cana where the masses go. No crowds here but all the services you get elsewhere. On the downside, the staff speaks very little English so it's somewhat harder to communicate and the resort is a little more remote than some thers but we felt this wasn't enough to keep us from going back again and again.
