This hotel is absolutely gorgeous and serene. The Spa treatments were heaven. We had no issues with anything. The folks at the Ritz were helpful, friendly and always there but not over the top. This hotel is different from the other resorts in that it is elegant without being Vegas like. The grounds are beautiful. It is away from most of the towns, shopping and tourist type attractions, but we had rented a car and was able to go everywhere we wanted. The 24 hour fitness center was always clean and lots of equipment. I am definitly going to go back for another stay.

We stayed at the Maui Hyatt Resort on our first trip to Hawaii. It was perfect. Beautiful view, great grounds, friendly and very helpful staff. It's a little older than some of the Hyatt's I've stayed at but the room was incredibly comfortable. Every amenity you can imagine on the property. OUTSTANDING for kids - our 4 year old loved it. Especially the pool. Great doctor's on call on site saved my husband from a miserable sinus infection from ruining his vacation. Great for families. Convenient to everything.

Because each of the villas are individually owned and decorated, I can see why there are some disparities among the reviews. We lucked out. We stayed at the Ridge Villas in 2522. The dryer wasn't working and they offered to switch us to one of the other Ridge Villa condos. Although there was nothing wrong with the other two that I looked at, the furnishings and amenities were chosen for their inexpensiveness and ease of cleaning. Our condo was furnished with plush carpets, stainless steel appliances, and hawaiian art. Furnishings - think Bombay Club, Pier One style. We stayed in the condo, and they waived the daily resort fee! Daily service: trash, towel and beds made. Every 3rd day: bathrooms cleaned, vacuum, dust, sheets changed.

We spent 2 weeks in Maui at the Sheraton Maui Resort. We booked a King sized room but when we got there they gave us 2 double beds,& said they do not guarantee room sizes. What a bummer b/c we were on our anniversary & after a day of sunburn we were forced to spend 3 nights in separate beds. Not what we had wanted!!! Although I did go to the front desk and ask if they had anything avail. in king after about a week and they moved us.The views are amazing the pool is nice, if you go swimming in the ocean hold onto your goggles we lost a pr of ours. We would stay there again we had a blast. Don't eat at the coffee bar on the 3rd floor, overpriced, go to the Safeway 10 mins down the road in the Lahaina mall.Save your $ for items made by the locals!!!

The Westin Maui was wonderful! It was very kid-friendly...the perfect place for a family vacation. The hotel lobby was just amazing...with a beautiful fish pond, waterfalls, and gardens...as well as flamingos, parrots, ducks, and swans! The hotel staff was very friendly and attentive, and our room was very clean and comfortable. There were four pools on three levels, and the kids loved the waterslides. The poolside service was great too. The gym was nice, and overlooked the beautiful lobby/pool area. The hotel sits on the beautiful Ka'anapali beach...and is just steps from the shops and restaurants down the beach walk. We will definitely visit the Westin Maui Resort and Spa again!

Was very, very impressed by this hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Rooms were wonderful. The bed were extremely comfortable -could not lay down during the day or else I would fall asleep! This hotel is on the nicest stretch of beach on Kaanapali. Not even the expensive Sheraton, Hyatt and others had a nicer beach. No rocks or coral, just sand as far as you go out in the water. The restaurant has great food and is very affordable. Every evening, they have a singer and a hula dancer. They also do a little 'lighting the torches' show during the weekdays. The Luau is great as well. The best part is that it is only a few feet away. The only thing negative that I can think about this resort is the pools. They are small, rectangular, and not much to look at. Of course I am comparing to the resorts down the beach towards Lahaina which had waterfalls and waterslides. I would definitely come and stay again.

My husband and I were only in Maui for the weekend and were so glad we found this place. It would be a wonderful place to take the family. Having access to the adjacent resorts was a plus. Service was above and beyond our expectations. The location was terrific. We were able to do whale watching right on the beach area in front of ALII. We felt right at home and very relaxed.

I love this resort the moment when I stepped in. Only thing I was a little bit disappointed is the tiles in the room.....it didn't look super clean, but I think its mainly because of the color that they use, not necessary unclean...i love everything about this resort...i will definitely choose this resort again when i go back to maui...
