I have no complaints about Sunset Bay Resort; the only issue was getting there. The road to the resort was in bad need of repair - lots of pot holes, construction cuts, etc. There was also utilities construction going on. Overall, it wasn't the best drive off the main road to the resort. But that should soon be fixed I would assume so,.....

The hotel was clean and orderly, and the ten pools were a big hit with my youngest son, who's six. (He tried them all, even the hot tubs.) It rained hard the first night we were there, so the indoor pools and the onsite restaurant were great. If you're on a budget, it's a bargain. Don't expect a massive waterpark like the frightfully expensive resorts in the Dells, but the ten pools (most of them for kids) should be enough for the youngest members of your family, especially the ones not old enough for high-speed waterslides and wave pools. In fact, we were able to cancel our plans to go to an all-day waterpark and spent most of our non-swimming time at various "dry" Dells attractions instead, ones we might not have otherwise seen. (The money we saved on the hotel compared to the mega-resorts also made that possible.) There are other less-expensive motels/hotels in the Dells, but Wintergreen Resort has a more "upscale" feel to it, for not a whole lot more. I would definitely stay there again.
