Charging resort fees to visitors at resorts is outrageous. Everyone gambles, drinks, tips, eats, sleeps, shops, spends money on stuff they don,t need. Charging for a newspaper, internet that most don,t use, water etc. is ridiculous. If the highly successful people that are in charge of running these multi-million dollar resorts can,t think of a more reasonable way to either increase profits or remain the same, then they are not very well schooled individuals. Charge me extra for the room, most won,t mind. Don,t hose them with petty reasons to get more money off of them. It,s bad enough the taxi cabs take you for a joy ride to your resort, but your ride back to the airport cost seven dollars less. Good for tourism. In the twelve years we have been going to Vegas, we have seen a huge difference in service, value for your dollar, courteousness from hotel staff. Our next visit we will be looking at staying at a resort that doesn,t charge resort fees. There are not too many, but there are some. We got hosed once, never again.

The rooms were clean, quiet, with comfortable beds.The pool area was very nice. The hotel is well placed with walkable access to other popular venues. My only complaint is the resort fees of $22.00 per day added onto the price of the room, with essentially no amenities to show for it. It would be better to include these fees into the original price, rather than add them on. I wonder if the fees and services provided vary from resort to resort??

We stayed for 5 days in mid novemeber 2011. We were in a 26th floor room with a "king" size murphy bed. Bed was surprisingly comfortable, but annoying ventilation hum could be heard through pillows when sleeping on your side. Walls are thin and neighbouring conversations can be heard clearly. Shows at Hilton are clearly B class. Muzak is steady 70's classics. Service was good but not outstanding. We chose the Hilton because the price was reasonable, there was no resort fees, and the Monorail stops right at the hotel so access to the strip is quick and easy. We ate at the paradise Cafe a couple of times for breakfast as the Hotel offers a $10 food coupon if you opt out of getting your room done for a day. Service was good, food was adequate. There are better places to eat on the strip. Few restaurant choices in the hotel when compared to other resorts/hotels. Vegas showing its age and the effects of the recession - signs not repaired, faded paint, not as clean as it used to be, panhandlers common on the bridges.

Circus Circus is the second farthest resort at the one end of the strip. So what you save on rooms, you might end up spending on cabs. It is a little older than some of the other resorts I have stayed at, but our rooms and the resort itself was very clean. The amusement park was fun, only 5 or 6 adult rides, but we enjoyed them. Lots of kids rides and very kid friendly. The free acrobat shows were very entertaining.

It's pretty good for the price!!! Most others have a sneaky resort fee, so though it looks like you're paying only a few dollars more a night for a much plusher hotel, you actually could end up paying another $10 a night in resort fees as well. Imperial doesn't have the resort fee so the price is what you see. There's a good restaurant on site called Hash House a Go Go; massive portions for very reasonable prices there so you're not paying out a tonne on meals either. Plus when I went there's free entry and a drink in the Rock House (nightclub) downstairs. Check in was 12 noon. No fridge / coffee making facilities in the rooms but there is a hairdryer and iron (both of these are rubbish for making coffee). The pool is super tacky and was just row upon row of frying bodies tapping their fingers to pumpin' R&B music, but then if you don't like a little bit of tackiness, probably avoid vegas altogether. Location of this hotel is fantastic. Overall great stay and thrilled with the price.

Yes, this hotel does have a resort fee - $14.55 w/tax when I stayed. Hotel requires a $100 deposit even on prepaid reservations, refunded less resort fee at checkout. Overall this is a very good bargain as long as you've got wheels - it's about 10 minutes' drive from the closest part of the Strip. Signage within the Boulder Station grounds could be better - not the clearest from outside where the easiest place to park for the hotel.

This was the first time I stayed off-strip in Vegas, and I was a little nervous about what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised, from check-in to check-out. The check-in line was short (less than 5 minutes), and I was greeted warmly, and the process was extremely quick. The room was clean and tidy. There was both wireless and wired Internet that you had to pay for, but the daily resort fee was less than other hotels I had stayed at. Paying for daily Internet would essentially match the resort fee from hotels on the strip. And it was fast! I decided to buy Internet access every other day during my 8-day stay. I never had a problem with it. There was also a little one-cup coffee maker in the room, just what I needed to get me going each day. The buffet in the hotel was fantastic -- great price and a great selection, and I would highly recommend it. The location was particularly great attending the WSOP at the RIO -- an 11-minute walk from my room to the WSOP (RIO Convention Center) each day. It was also great to walk over to the Palms across the street. Cab fare to the strip and the airport was also lower than I expected. There were really only two drawbacks: there is no safe in the room, and electronic room keys expire after 7 days, something that they don't tell you on check-in. All in all, a very positive experience. I will be staying there again!

The resort is awesome. The atmosphere and the overall complextion of the casino/hotel is great too. So much going on compared to many other resorts. Other resorts close up their doors to bars and restaurants early. Here it seemed like every door was open til the wee hours of the morning. Whether you like mexican, irish, bar, italian, ritzy, club you name it, they have it. shares an intersection with excalibur and mgm which are easily accessible by over-the-road crosswalks. Also within comfortable walking distance of showcase mall. Coyote Ugly inside the resort is a complete blast also.

Me and my daughter enjoyed our 5 -days stay in Stratosphere. We arrived midmorning but the hotel receptionist was so accomodating and nice that we were able to check-in earlier at 12 noon instead of the regular 3pm. All employees are very helpful and courteous.The food is great and has fair selection of restaurants from buffet to Italian and Mexican.Tthe swimming pool is awesome and family- friendly.The rooms are spacious and clean;the Select rooms has great view of the city. The unique ride to the tower was exciting,at nights you see the whole city and the amazing lights is WOW..a must-see! There's also a lot of stores/ shops inside the resort-from Mc Donald's,Krispy Creme and Fat Tuesday which sells cheap Pina Colada or Margarita. I have lots of good things to say about the resort except the annoying fire alarm noise for the 2-day testing during our stay. Also the location of the resort not very close to the strip ; though taxis are available and affordable.The gym has all the fancy equipment; ATM machines are all over the hotel.Great stay! Reasonable rate!

I chose this hotel because it advertised no resort fees. I did not realize at the time that without paying resort fees, you also do not enjoy any privileges whatsoever. In the end every service is priced separately--internet in your room is a fee, using the fitness facililty is an additional fee, using the hotel spa is an additional fee. In the end all of these fees added up to more than a resort fee at another hotel. I would try a different hotel next time just to see what is included with their resort fees. I might not be pleased there either. The location of Caesar's Palace is wonderful however.

Even though Harrahs isn't the newest resort on the strip, it's still an excellent choice. Located in the center of the strip, Harrahs offers the perfect location. The casino and rooms were in very good condition. The staff and clientel also seemed to be above average. I appreciate that Harrahs doesn't have any hidden resort fees, an annoying problem with most Vegas hotels. I would recommend Harrahs to anyone wanting a good resort at a reasonable price.

Overall I would rate my experience at the Excalibur as excellent. For the price the room was very nice, helpful housekeeping staff, and the dice dealers were the friendliest on the strip, asking my name and where I was from and gladly answered various questions I had about Vegas and giving me a friendly hello by name each evening I gambled at their table. The 2nd floor McDonalds is open 24 hours and is priced not to much higher then my local Mickey D's. Do recoginize there is a $14.00 resort fee ( $12.50, plus the $1.50 tax on the resort fee ) in addition to the price you pay Hotels.com, so price this in when deciding if this is a good selection price wise for you. You do get free internet and free use of the decent gym they have as part of the resort fee, ( the other resort I stayed at wanted 14 bucks per 24 hours just for internet use ). Decent location on the south end of the strip. It is popular with those seeking reasonable priced place to stay, so in all honesty, it does seem to have a slightly lower end crowd in general, however this wasnt a problem for me and shouldnt be for most people.

I stayed at Sunset Station Christmas Eve after attending a party. I live in Las Vegas and wanted a convenient place, so I wouldn't have to chance driving across town impaired. The property is well kept, but the room left much to be desired. The small room was clean, but the bed was very uncomfortable given the plastic liner between mattress and sheet. It felt like a crib bed, with crinkles and noise associated with the plastic. The hard rubber pillows were completely uncomfortable and useless. Also, anytime the people used the toilet in the room above, I could hear EVERY sound...use your imagination if you will. The last issue is the insistence of charging a $15 'resort fee' above the cost of the room. I asked the front desk clerk to explain the reason for this 'fee' and what 'resort' amenities it might cover. Since the pool area is closed in December and the property doesn't have spa facilities, I was unable to understand why I was being charged this extra fee. Unfortunately, the clerk was also unable to explain this to me, other than saying it covers cost of parking. It is my recommendation for anyone to reconsider staying Sunset Station. There are many other casino resorts in the area, most more comfortable that have done away with the arbitrary 'resort fee'.

The place is okay if you want a good place to sleep for a few nights. The rate was low enough, but the resort fee was way too high (it's not a resort!). You need to have a means of transportation sine it's several miles away from the strip and the downtown area.

Great deli in sports book, clean casino and rooms. Good deal but many other options closer to the airport and strip. Paid in full thru hotels.com and on arrival tacked on a resort fee that was at least 10% of my daily rate and had I known would have paid 10% more thru hotels.com and stayed at the South Coast - a much nicer place and location for my needs - and would have been about the same rate after paying the "resort fee".

The Monte Carlo is a pretty cool place to stay. There are some downsides tho. The first is the don't have a coffee maker in the room, which may seem stupid, but a cup of coffee in the morning is nice, especially when you're hungover, which tends to happen in Vegas. Next is the location. Sure it's right next to City Center, but the blocks are long in Vegas, so it's pretty far from The Forum Shops or Fashion Show if you want to do shopping. The last thing I don't like is the resort fee they don't include in the rate. It's never really that much, but I just hate when companies give you a cheap price, than hit you with an added fee later. Also, you would think the resort fee entitles you to the spa area, but it doesn't. You still have to pay each time you use the spa. You can go to the work out area, but the hot tubs, steam rooms, etc cost extra, which makes me wonder...if the pool is closed in the winter and you have to pay for the spa, why are you having to pay a resort fee? On the other hand, the rooms are nice. I've stayed there several times, and always had a good view. Everything seems to be fairly new, and the rooms have pretty big flat screens, and the beds are comfy. The room service is great. The buffet there is ok...nothing really special, but it's not bad. Overall it's pretty nice hotel, and I would recommend it to others. I probably will not go back simply because I like a cup of coffee in the morning without leaving my room, and I don't like getting hit with a resort fee if I don't really get the resort benefits.

My husband and I were very happy with the choice we made in this Resort. We got a 1 bedroom suite, with 2 TV's. It was clean and spacious. The king size bed was comfortable. I never used the pool, even though I brought my bathing suit. It was November. But it was a heated pool and had a jacuzzi. I did see people using it, but I was just too busy to use the pool. The resort also had an exercise room, which, I never used either. The resort came with a continental breakfast. We ate breakfast every day. The coffee they used was Starbucks brand. The breakfast was not bad either. Scrambled eggs everyday, and bacon 1 day and sausages the next. fruit, cereal, yogert, granola, instant oatmeal, o-juice, tea. Sometimes it was busy, but we always found room to sit down, even if we shared a table with someone. It was nice to have that breakfast, then start the day. Also, Monday - Thursday, they have a complementry managers reception in frount lobby , with wine, beer and small snack. Now were else would you get this in Vegas? The Resort was not a far walk from the strip at all. Close to MGM hotel Coming back to our Resort in the evening was nice as the resort was quiet ( there are no casinos in this resort ) and the frount lobby staff always welcomed you with a " good evening". One good thing for my husband who is a smoker, was that he could smoke on the balcony. They had 2 chairs and a small table outside with an ashtray. I think this is a little gem in Vegas.We will stay here again.

Upon check in I paid for the resort fee plus tax. Upon check out I was told that I was under charged by 20 cents!! Seriously not a big deal but thought how petty and katty it was. During our stay we had to ask for more soap and towels. Only a few of the staff we interacted with were friendly. For a higher end resort it was NOT worth the money we spent to stay for 5 nights. We've stayed at many resorts and hotels during our vacations to Vegas and this was by far my worst experience.

We were extremely pleased with our stay at Paris; a beautiful resort (without resort fees!), centrally located on the Strip, great pool and shops, and lovely rooms!

I have booked a one bedroom unit with prepaid rate, when I arrived they did not have any available and upgraded me to a two bedroom. The unit and I guess the resort itself was built 3-5 years ago, everything is in nearly new condition. The rooms are clean, and spotless, equipment worked as it should. Each bedroom has flat screen TV installed, and there is one in the living room. The kitchen has all the equipment and utensils that one would need for a few day self catering vacation. The only downside is that the resort does not offer free Wifi, which I think should be a basic amenity in 2011. One suggestion to the management about the computer room, there should be at least four computers in there, because whenever I went there both computers were occupied and someone was always waiting. It seems reasonable to have more public computers if there is no free WIFI, or have a free password protected WIFI. Overall very nice property and excellent stay. Keep up the good work Desert Paradise resort.

Mandalay it's a wonderful hotel but you have to know that the surroinding of the highway and roads arrives in the 22th floor also!! We have a little dog and we have booked in the resort hotel but when we have arrived there we couldn't stay on the resort because the only part of the hotel where you can stay with dogs it's the Hotel of Mandalay. There are suites, very confortables and big but we were dissapointed because it wasn't our booking and the hotel was given to us a room with no views (yes we could see the parking....) and with other kind of bed that we have requested and paid. It is important to know also you cannot left your dog alone in the room, then, how can I visit las Vegas if you don't indicate it in your website??? Then we couldn't enjoy the hotel, resort and casino...

This is not the best resort we stayed at. If you are planning on spending most of your time on the Vegas strip, I would recommend not to stay here because this place is about 20 miles away from the strip (and takes half hour each way). Plus, it kinda feels remote to the city in the sense, you are pretty much isolated (I guess, that's what a resort is meant to be) from the main land and hence you don't have too many options for dining, etc. All the restaurants within the resort are fairly expensive. One positive aspect is that the Montelago village (an artificial Italian village), which is in the resort area has nice little shops, restaurants, etc. It's nice to hang out there by the retention pond. I am not terribly impressed by the reception desk. They weren't very welcoming. Plus, the room we got was the "resort view" room, which has the view to the front of the hotel, which is not very impressive. The room had a 42" LCD flat panel TV, but no HD signal, which makes the picture slightly worse than normal CRT TV. On the whole, it's an OK resort. If you are going to Vegas primarily to spend time on the strip, I wouldn't recommend staying here. There are better hotels for the money if you book your travel fairly well in advance.

The resort itself was lovely; the grounds were beautiful and the hotel was nice. Staff were very helpful. The resort is well away from the airport and the Las Vegas Strip, however, and it is very expensive to get to/from the airport and expensive and inconvenient to get downtown without having a rental car. A good place if you're looking for a staying put kind of vacation.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Four Seasons! Only thing is that I did not expect to be hit with a $25 resort fee (what do I get for this resort fee?) when I checked in. If you don't like the hectic pace and cheesy aspect of Las Vegas, this is a great alternative. The grounds are lovely and everything is higher class than your typical Las Vegas hotel.

The Hotel/Casino is situated approximately 7 miles from the Las Vegas strip so you will either need to rent a car or one you get there, stay at the hotel the whole time if you don’t want to pay a lot in taxis. The air conditioning is the wall fitted type and can be quite noise when it turns on and off through the night. The Texas Station Casino is right next door and walking distance. The Fiesta Buffet is reasonable value at $5.99 for lunch but lousy value for $8.99 for Sunday brunch as the brunch is exactly the same as the lunch menu but with eggs and a glass of Champagne. Also, all Station Hotel Casino’s still charge a “resort fee or administration fee” which is the same dog with different flees. Most other hotel Casino chain in Las Vegas except for MGM hotels have removed this ridiculous mandatory fee. For this hotel it totals $11.39 cents after tax per day on top of your room rate. Ridiculous when you think that at this time of the year you can’t use the pool as it’s too cold anyway. When Station hotels advertise their special rates, then it’s worth staying there but at normal rates plus the resort fee, there are better options in Las Vegas.

The rooms are rough around the edges. The A/C units are excessively loud as some others had mentioned. The only thing going for this place is it is fairly cheap. Read the fine print because there is an extra $11.49 resort fee added per day for your stay. I think I missed the resort. There is a small, not real nice pool. No breakfast options. Consider this choice carefully. We are happy with budget travel motels but we won't be back here unless they do a complete remodel.

I had always wanted to stay at the Palms, so when in Vegas for business, the Palms price was within my allowed rate giving me the opportunity to try the resort. The resort has amazing ammenities, and a vibrant night life. However, for business staying in such a large resort wasn't as convenient as smaller (non-casino) hotels. In the future I will not stay here for business trips. I will, however, definitely make this property a top consideration for the night life that a normal trip to Vegas would include. The jr. suite was large however, no coffee maker or mini-fridge. The bathroom linens were nice. The shower head had two modes: lazer or mist. The bed was very comfortable with lots of fluffy pillows.

What a wonderful option for a family experience in Las Vegas. You have the luxury of a resort with a fully stocked kitchen, jacuzzi bath right in the the bedroom, Full dinning room, Queen pullout sofa, and a pool that your don't have to pay to use. Now that's a bonus for Vegas' standards. The adults were able to hang-out on the stripe and enjoy the night life. The family was also able to experience Vegas during the day with its many family friendly options (i.e., dinning, shopping, and live/free shows). I particularly enjoyed the option of "doing The Strip", then returning to a resort style environment away from the "HUSTLE". The outlet off Interstate 15 south is a nice option as well. Be sure to eat at the Japanese buffet near the Adidas store. The food is delicious and affordable. It was recommended by a world traveler that lives in Japan, and suggest that the food is one of the better he's had. He was right! Fantastically large sushi + options including American fares and desert all reasonably priced. The family took a day trip to Hover Dam, then the Grand Canyon (West Rim). What an experience! From the strip, the journey is a mere 1 1/2 hour to the local route to the canyons. There's a wonderful trading posts with traditional Indian relics that is so wonderfully nostalgic. What a treat! However, the local drive from the main highway to the canyons can be a little challenging because of the 15, 25, 15, speed limit that makes a possible 37 mile journey about an additional 1 1/2 hour long. Watch out for that lone officer that warns you of the speed limit because so many animals crossing the roads have been killed. Moving at 45 miles per hour, we didn't realize that the limit had changed to 15mph by the little signage obscurely positioned by the side of the road. He did allow us to continue enjoying our vacation with a signed warning. This 4 day, 3 night experience at Flamingo Bay Westgate was absolutely wonderful! I've gain a new outlook on the "Vegas" experience!

This is a true 5-star hotel or resort. If you don't mind being away from the vegas crazy strip, This is the place to be. Top notch service, Nice, clean rooms with great bathrooms. Very nice decor within the hotel. My next visit to Las Vegas will be there, without a doubt, a great resort without paying the super high prices of the strip resorts. The pool area looks like a Cancun beach resort. Get away from the strip, and have some real fun.

The resort was Beautiful , and the Activities they had for the old and young were Great! There were a few different Resturants to choose from and they even provided some discounts and a free T- Shirt! My three day stay was great , my only complaint is the Pool closing @ 8pm it would have been nice to do some night swimming since you have to pay an extra resort fee a day n not be able to use the resort pool when you want!

Two room suite with kitchen was nice, courtyard was beautiful, pool and gym were more than delightful. Nice place to stay 4 miles south of major resorts on the Strip. One complaint is the kitchen had no cookware.

Our room was clean and comfortable, but nothing special. The overall resort area is nicely developed and there are a number of what appear to be good restaurants. Unfortunately, the spa in the pool area was closed for maintenance. We stayed here after a couple days in Las Vegas because we wanted to do some sightseeing at Hoover Dam and Lake Meade. The resort suited that purpose, but I do not know who would want to come here unless they were just trying to get away from the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas. This location does not strike me as a "destination." We were a bit surprised by a resort fee that was added to what we had already paid Expedia. After further examination, I did find mention of it in the fine print in our Expedia itinerary. All in all, our room at Cesar's Palace was nicer and less expensive. I doubt that we will come back here. There are too many other nicer places to vacation.

The overall resort experience was just fine. The resort is located in the middle of nowhere, and far from the Las Vegas Strip. Guests need to think about that before booking. If you have a rental car, you are in good shape. We liked having a full service kitchen in our unit, and we loved the spa bath. The grounds of the resort are beautiful and well maintained. The pool area is very nice. Guests need to be aware that there are no restaurants connected to this resort.

We didn't initially book the Desert Club, but chose it when we wanted to spend one more night in Vegas and our first hotel was full. So we booked one night via Expedia. The resort consists of about 20 three-story buildings, with a semi-private entrance and little deck or patio for each room. Our suite could have used some updating, particularly the worn cabinetry and tube TVs, but it was comfortable. The resort was quiet, and the heated pools were lovely. The resort is about a 10-minute walk to the strip, but offers free shuttles to and from the strip and a few other locations. We like to walk, but did take the shuttle back at night. Overall we were pleased and would stay here again. A few important notes: Our building didn't have an elevator - we don't know about the other buildings. While that wasn't a problem for us, you might want to request a 1st-floor room if you don't like stairs. Conversely, we heard the people walking around above us (we were on 2nd floor), so if we go back, we'll ask for a 3rd-floor room. Check in was unnecessarily difficult. Our confirmation and the confirmation Expedia faxed to the resort showed a one-night reservation, but the resort's system showed two nights. Rather than let us check in for one night and figure out the glitch later, the reception person had us wait while he tried to figure out the problem.

This time share resort is a great family vacation spot that gives you all the comforts of home and then some. Each unit with a balconey is either a one or two bedroom with two bathrooms. All master baths have a two person jacuzzi tub with dual sinks. The decor is 'Aztec' resort chic with soft comfortable beds and linens. The food at the resort is good basic family fare and the two restaraunts plus the on site convenience store make sure you never go hungry. The kitchens in the units are fully stocked with a full size stove oven combo and full size refrigerator. There are two pools on either side of the aztec temple with two one story tube water slides and two two story tube water slides. The height requirement on the one story slides is 42" and the two story 46". They want you to be a good swimmer but my husband and I took our 4 year old and they allowed me to stay at the bottom to catch him. Once was enough for him since the tunnel of the tube and darkness where not appealing to him. The hammocks around the Palapas and the numerous jacuzzis plus the lush landscaping make this a beautiful resort. We enjoyed facing the pool which gave us a real resort feel but the units south that face the Las Vegas strip have nice views of the strip and the empty lots next to the resort. They have a kids arcade and a recreation room for adults with a pool table, ping pong, and other various games. They have many restaraunts in the neighborhood, stores, and an outlet mall. We especially enjoyed Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World which is attached to the Silverton Casino. It was my four year olds first time there it provided three hours of entertainment plus the Silverton is a beautiful casino with a live mermaid show (thurs-sun). We got to see the divers clean the tank and they gave a informative presentation. The food at the Silverton is reasonably priced, offers a variety of places, and is very good. We had a great time off the strip and I hope you enjoy your stay in Las Vegas...

Not fancy, very plain. Great for quiet & no free breakfast, or business office where you can fax or use their computer. If you need a computer bring your own. Very clean, quiet, safe. LOVE that you could open the windows and actually breathe AIR...something lacking in the larger resorts on the Strip. You have FULL control over heat or air conditioning---that was GREAT. Staff doesn't seem to do maid service daily, seems you need to ask for it, but staff is VERY nice...not so much "accommodating" as they stay-out-of-your-hair. Which is nice. Next time I will definitely stay there, and the price is fantastic!!

I have been to Las Vegas several times. The Wynn resort tops my Las Vegas experience. The room was spacious to the point that it was comfortablke to just hang out in the suite. The Bath was roomy and well stocked with quality sundries and linens. The bed only be described as the best hotel bed I ever slept in. Quality room service was topped off with fresh flowers and a copy of the day's paper. Food service was always top of the line from the Parasol Bar to SW steakhouse. We tried the cafe, bar, 24 hour restaraunt, fine dining and buffet. Aside from the bar and fine dining, the food offerting were more or less equal in quality and variety. You will enjoy the gaming because of the ambience and players' club. As with the entire resort, natural light reached even the furthest reachs of the casino floor. If you are a non-smoker the air quailty was very nice. The player's club seemed generous in offering initial rewards. Overall the decor of the Wynn resort was refreshing in its use of natural light in all areas of the resort.

This is my second visit to Mandalay this year. The first, I travelled with friends and stayed at the resort. This trip, I travelled with family and stayed at The Hotel. The room was wonderful and clean. The nice thing with the hotel is that it shares all of the amenities the resort has to offer but is behind the resort. You do not hear the noisy jets taking off all night as I did when I stayed at the resort. Red, White & Blue is a great moderately priced place to eat at the resort. If you are travelling with your family, you can purchase an all day pass for $25 at the Excalibur buffet and save $. Thu night at the resort "Purple Rain" at House of Blues is a great inexpensive show! Titanic Exhibit at the Luxor is great. Dolphin/Lion Habitat at the Mirage is neat. It is set up great with tables and chairs around the Dolphin area and shade. There is a snack bar which made it great for kids. The Mandalay Beach is a must! You could spend a few days there alone.

I stayed at this hotel once before and loved the pool. This is why I booked it for spring break for me and my daughter. The hotel charges a $25.00 a day resort fee in addition to your room fee. When we arrived last week we were told the pool was closed for repairs. We were not aware of this when we booked our reservation. We were told the pool was scheduled to open on April 6. I asked if they were still adding the $25.00 daily resort fee and was told yes because the resort fee was for the free internet in each room and the daily newspaper delivery to your room. This is absolutely a rip-off since most hotels offer free internet now and many have a daily newspaper delivery. Before coming to Red Rock we stayed at a Doubletree in Santa Monica CA which had the internet and newspaper and did not have an extra charge. This hotel was my favorite in Vegas since it opened but will probably not stay there again. They should not have charged the resort fee and they should have made it known that the pool was closed. There were a few lounge chairs available by their nightclub and by a spa area which was not really enough room.
