The check-in line was long. The automated machine for quick check-in had to have an exact match of the name to your credit card. Without that, the machine was a waste of time. Make sure to get a receipt for the resort tax fee. They said I only paid two nights resort fee at check-in, so I had to pay for the third night fee at check-out. I would have thought that they would have correctly charged me at check-in. I couldn't locate my check-in charge to cover the resort fee, so at check-out I felt that I was gouged for another resort fee charge for one day. The room was like any ordinary motel room. Nothing special. The tub drain was plugged and the low ceiling in the entry way and bathroom made it feel cramped. There should be a fan in the bathroom, but there wasn't one. The carpet in the hallway should be cleaned or replaced. It showed it's age. The room was at the low end of the scale, so I didn't expect the best. I got what I paid for, considering Las Vegas.

This was a very nice - though nothing terribly special - hotel. In most any city other than Las Vegas, I'd say it was a great hotel. But with the caliber expected on nearby the Vegas Strip, I hoped for more from a Westin. Especially considering this hotel cost MORE than the big resorts right on the strip! I recommend spending less money and being in a more convenient spot by staying at a resort such as Planet Hollywood.

We stayed at Bally's over the Christmas holiday. The price was right and the location is very convenient for being able to access some of the nicer resorts on the strip. We stayed in the South Tower on the 17th floor which had a great view of the strip and the fountains across the street at the most Beautiful resort on the strip which I am apparently not supposed to name (but everyone knows what I'm talking about!!) The only problem is the fountain show at the aforementioned resort runs every 15 minutes until midnight every night so don't expect to have ANY chance of sleeping because the music is VERY loud and can be easily heard inside your room.

Room was clean. Nothing fancy. However the extra fees were not acceptable. We were at the hotel for two nights. There was a per night resort fee that we knew about. That was fine. One would think that the resort fee would allow you access to the resort. This was not the case. My son went down on the second morning we were there to use the weight room to work out. He returned to the room about 10 minutes later in that there was a fee almost equal to the resort fee to use the weights. This type of nickle and dime tactics should not be acceptable. It is bad enough the price of the rooms but having to continue to pay for everything at the resort reduces the overall enjoyment. If all you are there for is the room,. it is fine. If you plan on making use of the facility plan on bringing lots of extra cash, and I am not just talking about gambling. That is a given.

Okay, right off the bat I will tell you that this is not a Bellagio - quality hotel. It is much smaller than many other resorts on the strip, but for some that might be a plus due to reduced walking. I loved this hotel and I would recommend it to anyone. It is an older property (being the first hotel/casino on the strip), but it is very simple in that you have a bed, TV, bathroom, iron/ironing board, phone, and safe...that's it. It was fairly clean, although admittedly there were some aspects of the resort and our hotel room that were a bit outdated. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Has a monorail station. Pool and casino area as well as shopping and dining options were awesome! Located right in the middle of The Strip which is a plus. Bottom line - The hotel is simple and modest in every respect; that is, it is not a top-of-the-line resort, but it provides the basic necessities for those who want to stay on the strip, but do not want to break the bank.

For my first time at Planet Hollywood I was thoroughly impressed from the staff to the decor and the overall experience of what Planet Hollywood resort gave. The hotel service employees were friend and courteous and provided lots of assistance. They were professional and very prompt with any services that I required during my stay there. The cleanliness of the resort was one of the first things noticeable to me when I first explored the resort. As compared to the older resorts like Caesars and Mirage, the gambling pit and shopping areas were a lot cleaner. The outdoor pools were maintained well and with plenty of sunbathing chairs on the deck, Planet Hollywood's pool would be considered one of my favourites in Vegas. The only thing that I would have enjoyed more would be a larger sized pool. While the casino floor was nothing to boast about compared to the other Vegas hotels, it seemed cleaner and had a less of a smoke stench to it. It had everything needed and when the Pleasure Pit came on at nighttime, it became an experience more fun and entertaining. The adjacent shopping mall, Miracle Mile, was a clean and family friendly shopping mall with many stores for all with plenty of restaurants providing a variety of food choices. The location of Planet Hollywood is also good. Located beside Paris, it is just a 5 minute walk to the bus stop that will take you to any shopping mall you like. My overall experience at Planet Hollywood deserves 4 1/2 Stars out of 5.

Overall, liked it, although the construction which was going on around the food court was annoying, with all the load noise. Also, the "resort fee" of $16.80 a day was kind of kinky. Why don't they just include it in the cost of the room? They quote you a room cost, then spring the "resort fee" on you afterward. It's like selling a car, the charging extra for the wheels. I asked what the "resort fee" included, and was told "unlimited calls from the room, use of the on site gym, and a daily newspaper delivered to the room. Well, the paper was never delivered to the room during my 3 night stay. I never did find the gym, and everytime I wanted to make a call, it wouldn't go through until I called the front desk so they could activate my phone to do so. Very annoying. Other than the "resort fee", It was a nice experience. Also, no fault of the hotel, but when I was there on May 17th, it was the coldest day on record, with a high of 67 degrees. It never did get above 75 for the 4 days I was there! Oh well.
