This resort is located on a beautiful beach in short walking distance from the rooms. Check in was not a good experience. We arrived an hour early (3:00 PM), check in was supposed to be 4:00 PM. We were put on a "call list" for our room availability and were told our room would be the next cleaned. We were not called until around 4:15 and the lobby was full of other people who were just arriving for check in times. They were all being told the same story we had been told an hour before. I am glad we came early! Our room on the fourth floor had a fantastic ocean view and a great air conditioner. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, but the pillows were very poor quality poly fill pillows. I inquired about feather pillows and the young man at the desk said he would check into it, took our room number, but never brought any feather pillows. So, I would suggest bringing your own if you are picky about pillows as we are. The sink in the bathroom was cracked in the bottom and looked pretty bad due to the crack, but it did not leak. There was also a small hole in the base board by the shower. This four story side of the resort is old and dated, but the view is sooo nice. I appreciated the tile floors. Our dorm type frig was adequate, but did not get very cold. Our dishes in the room were apparently hand washed in our rest room sink which was a bit disconcerting to us - were they washed that way before we came and used them? Housekeeping is very slow. We put out our please clean this room sign, were gone over an hour and when we returned she was just going into our room. It is really hard for me to call the section we stayed in a resort. It was really just an older outside entrance pricy beach hotel. Being on the fourth floor, we had no problems with noise or children running around. The pools are nice and there are three jacuzzis on the adult pool side. The free shuttle to St. Armonds Square was nice and we utilized it once to go to dinner and look around. It was overall a nice relaxing stay as we really did not spend much time in the room, however, I believe the name resort does not fit the portion of the hotel we stayed in. We did not go to the eight story building with the parking garage and lounge. We did carry out food from the grill in our section and the food was substantial and good. We were hoping for more luxury than we got for our money at this resosrt.
