The resort location is excellent. Especially if you are going to Magic Kingdom. The resort is dated, but acceptable. The premises are clean, the room was clean and they supply all the utensils for cooking. The staff could possibly be more inviting and pleasant. That is probably the only setback encountered. The guards at the security gates were always pleasant and had a smile on their face, no matter how early or late you would arriive.

This was our first stay here, and it went as smooth as I expected it to. It was clean, its was peaceful, it was safe, and it had wi-fi, which was important to me. If I had to complain about any one thing it would be the size, its comfortable, but for a suite, its to small. Its like any other average room but with a tiny retainer wall and pull out couch with TV, and that made it a suite. Not so much a suite as an added 8 foot space perhaps. But for the price and overall comfort, really it is what it is, and I would go back anytime I stay off Disney property. And until Disney realizes that paying for internet services in ONLY the most expensive resorts is unacceptable I will continue to stay in nice places like this.

Stayed at Westgate Villa for long memorial day wknd. Absolutely loved the resort! Very family-friendly. Beautiful setting. Very clean. Various restaurants and giftshops located right outside resort. Plenty of things to do within the resort (boatriding, volleyball, disney movies, etc). Does have 13 pools located throughout resort but are all the same or very similar to each other. Only thing I would say is be very aware of sales staff trying to sell you timeshare. When we checked in they invited us to a presentation. They lure you w/ free gifts (giftcards, cheap theme park tickets). They say its 90 min but really at least 3 hours long where they use extremely hire-pressure tactics to get you to buy timeshare. If you refuse they have you sign a disclosure saying you cant go back to stay at the resort because its supposevely only for owners (or so they say, may just be a tactic to get you to buy). Other than that the resort itself is fantastic!!! Just be cautious of their "90 minute presentation". Could cost you half a day of your vacation.

Over all our stay was very nive there. The only complaint that I have is the customer service there is not very good. When we arrived there they told us that we would get a free 5x7 family photo and to call a certain number.I called and no one would ever answer and I left a message and no one ever got back to us.My husband call the resort to see where there was good prim rib, and they told us to go to Charlie's Steak House and guess what??They did not have prim rib.We also left a message for someone to call us back about a question we had about some shopping in the area and no one called us back.As long as you do not have any question for the staff to help you out, you will be fine with this resort. They do have alot of activiteis around the resort for all ages.If you have time to spend a day at the resort, it would be worth it.We did not have time, and I was bummed about that.

Overall I enjoyed my 5 day stay but there were a few things that you need to know...RENTAL CAR IS A MUST! Although they have shuttle to take you to the parks, you have to sign up a day in advance and the times to pick up from parks are early 7PM. Next, was a 2 hour wait time to get into our room because its a resort and extremely busy....they told us we could check in early but nothing was ready so we eventually waited. There is ALOT of walking because the resort is huge, so be prepared because you can not rent their golf carts to get around. And most of the kid activities you had to pay for on the resort, even the water slide moon bounce. They have a small convenient store but its extremely expensive so grocery shop outside of the resort.

To reduce our wait time at check-in, they moved us to the concierge desk to check us in. Joseph was so friendly and accommodating. He went out of his way to get us the last of 30 king rooms in the entire hotel. He asked if we were there on our honeymoon; we said, "No, we were there for our 'babymoon'" (our last couple's vacation before we have our first child). We had a Savannah room view, which was awesome. We loved being able to view the animals from our room. After waking from a nap, room service delivered a fruit and cheese platter, compliments of the concierge staff that checked us in. They had just put out fresh hay for the animals right outside our room, so we sat outside on the balcony and enjoyed our afternoon snack together with the zebras, giraffes, gazelles and other animals. We had dinner at Sanaa restaurant one night, which was inside the other building at the Animal Kingdom lodge, and it was fabulous. We stayed for a total of 3 nights, and not once did we go to a Disney park. (At 7 months pregnant, I wouldn't have been able to ride most of my favorite rides anyways). So we just enjoy the resort amenities, visited other Disney resorts and relaxed. Surprisingly, there is a ton of things to do at Disney besides visit a theme park. There are a ton of daily activites offered at the resort. My only complaint, and it may not be the resort's fault, was that it just took a forever to get anywhere via Disney's bus transportation. The Animal Kingdom Lodge is the farthest resort on Disney property and nothing is close by. Unlike some of the other Deluxe Disney Resorts that are near Magic Kingdom, Epcot, or the Boardwalk; there is nothing within walking distance to/from the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It took us 2 hours to get to dinner at Disney’s Boardwalk, and we missed our reservations. Again, it may not be due as much to the resort location as it is the Disney bus transportation system. Other than that, the hotel staff is wonderful, the rooms are clean and the entire hotel is spectacular. We will definitely return with our children one day.

Got to hotel at 1am, front desk clerk pleasant but not knowledgeable about resort rooms or locations (facing pool/parking lot). Went to room she said was facing pool, was facing parking lot...2am now...3 sleepy kids. Fine, we need to get these kids to sleep. Walk into room, clean but you could tell it was well used. Squeeky doors, furniture showing its age, creaky stairs, ceiling fans wobbling and squeaking. Go into 2nd bedroom and can smell something foul. Open door to patio and found towel in bag full of vomit!! Uh, was this place cleaned or what? Threw towel in bag and threw it on the lawn. In the morning took our concerns to front desk, Director of Operations came out and spoke to my husband which was very nice. Never had another timeshare phone call after that or any problems with our room. Never got charged for incidentals either or the resort fee/night either. Overall, the resort was great for our needs, the water park and swimming pools were awesome, goofy golf needs some upkeep done and the other amenities were appreciated. We would definitely go back to this resort but really hope that they put some money back into the resort and fix it up a bit. The grounds were immaculately groomed and we always saw the cleaning staff in the morning going room to room offering maid service...at an additional fee of course. Great resort if you have young family.

We booked this hotel as part of a flight and hotel package. Our main purpose was to visit the Disney Parks. The location of the resort is near the parks but you will still need to drive to get there. I repeat you will still need to drive even though google maps shows the parks to be pretty close. Parking at the disney parks is 14 bux each day which sucks. There are complimentary shuttles to take you to the Disney parks but their operation times are severely limited. We never took advantage of the shuttles since the timing inflexibility didn't work out for us. The location of the resort is near gift shops, restaurants, fast food joints, gas stations, and the freeway. We booked a 1 bedroom apartment with a king sized bed. The unit is pretty dated but clean except for the carpet. The green carpet is horrid and makes the place look a bit dirty. The bathroom is pretty large and clean. There is a full kitchen which we did not use. We did use the large refrigerator, washer and dryer. There is a living room with a couch and traditional tube tv. The bedroom also has a small tube tv. Internet services are extra. However, you can use internet inside the resort lobby which you will need to walk 5-10 minutes to get to. They also loan out laptops so you can use it in lobby and printer services are complimentary. Overall I enjoyed our stay buy would book at a disney resort next time for transportation to the disney parks.

Check in was a little confusing and we had to drive across town then back to the resort through traffic. When I booked through Expedia I didn't know where I was staying but ended up at the Seven Dwarfs Villas which was nicely off the main road. The room was spacious and was similar to renting a cottage home as we had to bring our own supplies for the week. The Super Walmart is minutes away and we could buy everything there.Disney was about 15-20 minutes away depending on traffic. There is one pool and hottub but both were clean. The two bed 1 bath upstairs was great for the kids. We did lock our key in the condo and had to wait 1 1/2hour for someone to show up. Try reservation phone number if you need to contact anyone as all other numbers were voice mail.Check out was a breeze and the staff was helpful in finding alternate directions to avoid traffic. Check out time could be a little later, 10 am.

This is a beautiful resort in a gated community. It has many Villas of all different levels of amenities. I booked this resort for a five star villa. When I went to check in I was told we were staying at a villa far away from the main resort near the main road and by the entrance gate to the property. I explained to the front desk that I had booked this resort for its advertisement as a five star Villa. The villa was advertised as having granite counter tops, stain less steel appliances etc. The villa we were going to be staying in had none of these upscale amenities. We were told for more money we could stay in the main resort. After discussion with the front desk we were given a villa in the main reunion Building. We usually stay at ritz carlton or four seasons. We have never had a problem like this with any other Resort. Travelers beware.

The resort is in a convenient town. Everything you need for groceries etc. or want for dining out or entertainment is nearby. It is back off the road on a quiet street and only 15 minutes from Disney World and the main freeway. While the resort offers many ammenities, which include washer/dryer, full kitchen, etc. There is no maid service, the towels are counted and they may charge you a maintenance fee for unclogging a toilet, etc. This was very offputting. I was not aware that I would have to wash my own towels or have to empty my trash, as I've never stayed at a "resort" that doesn't offer maid service. I would not have been dissappointed if I had know this going in because otherwise, it's a nice place to stay with everything you need except a vaccum. One other downside was that they don't replace your toilet paper or give you dish soap or laundry detergent. You have to pay for those, yes, even the toilet paper. The condition of the room was just okay. It's lovely with a beautiful kitchen and large screened porch/deck. The carpets were old, flat and stained and the queen bed sunk in the middle so bad it was hard to sleep well some nights. The tv's are also old and small and the restaurant wasn't that great. I probably won't go back there and from now on, I will be checking to see if my "resort" just uses the title or if they actually offer all parts of what I define a resort to have, like free toilet paper refills. . .

Amazing hotel/resort. We (my wife and I who drove to Florida from Ontario, Canada) stayed for 9 nights in September 2010 and got an incredible deal through hotels.ca for the 3 bedroom, 2 bath suite. The rooms were very spacious and very clean. The two bathrooms were both extremely large. If we decide to go back again, I would book another stay with Caribe Cove. At check-in, they have a deposit charge that you will get back at the end of your stay, a cleaning fee for when you leave as housekeeping service is not included, plus a small resort amenity fee. It's not much. Details of the fees are on the site. The suite comes with everything you would possibly need. Washer/Dryer, Stove, Large Fridge, Microwave, kitchen utensils, plates, glasses, tons of towels and linens, etc.... Wired Internet which worked great. The pool was open an hour past dusk. At first I was a little concerned, but by 9pm, we already had our daily swim and dip in the whirlpool hot tub, and ready to relax in our room. They also have a steam room and sauna. Our suite also had 3 balcony patios with 3 entry points, one from the master bedroom, one from the living room and one from the 2nd bedroom. The entire balcony was screened in and contained a patio table, ceiling fan and 4 chairs. The rooms are smoke free and if you are a smoker, we noticed you could smoke on your balcony if that's your thing. Suites all have there own Air Conditioning units and controls which was very nice. We had a GPS with us and we were able to find all theme parks easily. You're looking at about a 13-25min. drive to all parks from this resort. The Disney parks are approx. 13-19mins away, depending on which one you're going to. Seaworld was approx. 22 mins. away and Universal was approx. 25mins. There's a huge Walmart Super Center and a huge Publix Grocery Store approx. 2 miles away. There's also tons of Restaurants within 5-10 mins. We had a hard time deciding which to go to, but in the end, we ended up cooking and eating in every night since we were exhausted from all the days activities. We looked forward to going back to the resort, having a swim and relaxing in our room before the next days activities. We ate out once at Universal City Walk's Nascar Sports and Grille after a day at Islands of Adventure. We were seeing Lady Antebellum in concert at the Hard Rock at Universal. The food was pretty good, large portions. We took our own car and did notice that you could probably get transportation from the resort to area attractions. We never looked into it but if you don't have a car, I would highly recommend looking into this with the hotel before booking. We originially wanted free shuttle transportation to the parks before deciding on Caribe Cove. However, after doing all the research, we discovered we could get a much nicer place for our money, being a little farther away from the theme parks. With the places that did offer free shuttle service, we saw that they were scheduled times to and from the parks and they took away the freedom of being able to come and go at your own leisure. This would all depend on the type of traveller, how you're travelling and your purposes of your getaway. We would stay here again, no questions asked!!! In fact, when we got home, we were both disappointed and realized we will be doing some upgrades to our house next year instead of going away to make it look just as nice as our room at Caribe Cove. Thanks for an unforgettable stay.

You need to let your customers know, that the staff that runs your bar and grill, have nothing to do with the resort. One nite i was in the pool area, and i started to get hungry, ask the girl for a menu, and she said the grill was closed, because it was a slow nite, and the cook had cleaned everything .This can tarnish your image of a 4 star resort.MY suggestion is Holded the bar and grill to the some high standed as the resort,I also had breakfast one morning at the grill, the owner was by him self ,i watch this man making my food, take a deliver from a vender, sever 2 drinks take money give change back, and go back and finish my food,i did not see him wash his hands, lwas ready to say something to him,but my wife stop me.I was there 8 days only eat at the bar and grill one time ,because of this.Other than that this place is awesome the staff is great and helpful, map quest in the front office
