Our stay was quite comfortable. The hotel itself is nothing fancy, but in a good condition. What really makes all the difference is the great service from hotel staff. They were all very nice and helpful. This is important when staying in Manuel Antonio since you often need to arrange different activities / tours / transportation etc. To sum it up - dont hesitate to book this hotel if the price is nice. But do not expect a lavish 5 star resort.

Definitely get the Bungalow. It is worth the little extra amount. That's what I did. You are in your own private residence right in the rain forest. It was so peaceful and private and very clean. You also have your own private patio(table and chairs) overlooking the pool. The resort has everything you need and you are a 46 cent bus ride from Manuel Antonio(great beaches and rain forest) on one side and Quepos(noted for some of the best fishing in the world) on the other. All amenities worked as advertised. Air conditioning, Cable TV, hot water, coffee in your room, safe. I had no problems at all. Very relaxing. The restaurant overlooks the pool and breakfast is included(a full breakfast). I recommend taking the rain forest tour at Manuel Antonio. The hotel will arrange it for you. There is also a sports bar(free pool tables) and casino in the resort. Great restaurants(as well as the one in the hotel) are in walking distance of the hotel. I would definely stay here again and recommend it highly.

Nestled in a hillside above two very private, quiet and absolutely gorgeous beaches, the Arenas Del Mar exceeded all our expectations. For what would certainly rate as a five-star resort, the food and beverage prices were very reasonable and the service staff was extremely friendly and courteous. We rated the Arenas Del Mar as falling in our "top-10" all time favorite resorts we've stayed in throughout the US, Europe and the Carribean. The on-premises wildlife and birds were amazing. Truly an outstanding resort!

Perfect, what else can I say? The Falls Resort is reasonably priced for the Quality of Service you receive. It was the perfect size resort. Not to big whereas the staff doesn't know your name. The grounds are beautiful, plenty of flora and fauna to keep even the paparatzi clicking pictures of the monkeys, sloths, lizards, and flowers. The staff truly understands and takes great pride in not only their jobs but the resort as well. The grounds crew made sure everything, pool, hot tub, sitting areas were cleaned and ready. Johanna the receptionist gave us the best room in the house. Her along with Jorge were there for anything that would make our stay the very best. Just ask and you shall receive. The room was beautiful huge bed, large bathroom, looks like the place was just done over. Something right out of a movie. House keeping kept up with us as well and went as far as fancy shapes with the towels every day. Just small things that make you feel like being at home. The restaurant and bar were typical open air bistro style with a ambience that i haven't seen duplicated. Chef Flander and his beautiful assistant Camila were fantastic. Flander is truly an inspiration to the culinary world. He has a certain passion for what he cooks and proved it with some of the delightful meals he cooked for us. Try the Mahi Mahi Ceviche, you won't be disappointed. the waiters Luis, Esteban, and Andres make your dining expierince truly magical. The bar tender Rhaoames I can truly call a friend whereas we spent most of our time drinking those fantastic concoctions that he would come up with. Ask him to make you a frozen mojito or my absolute favorite a MOY TOY. To the restaurant staff all I can say is THANK YOU FOR YOUR HARD WORK. We had a very good expirience and would recommend this Hotel to all, couples, families, and singles. Enjoy

Title: The excellent Los Altos Hotel and Beach Resort in the Manuel Antonio Park area in Costa Rica. My extended family had a fantastic time at this hotel. It is not a typical hotel - it is a condominium hotel - we had a 3 bedroom apartment that worked perfectly for our party of 3 adults and 2 teenagers. The suite was spacious, modern and incredibly well equipped. The modern decor and styling was exquisite. A lot fo attention to detail. It was a pleasure staying in the suite - felt very comfortable. We were treated to a complimentary foot massage upon check-in - Liz the Spa manager personally provided this and it was excellent- a great advert for the spa. We also enjoyed a massage at the spa - excellent!!. The Spa is located in the hotel and offers yoga classes (with it's sister spa location. We were able to get our group yoga session pool-side one morning and it was great! Emily the yoga instructor is brilliant!. The hotel's restaurant served a buffet breakfast (which was generally good - though limited. you could opt for a la carte if you wished). The same restaurant served pool snacks, lunches and dinner - on a couple of days dinner was accompanied by live music. The food was of a high quality (esp. with the more complex preparations). The tuna dishes particularly were great - very very fresh!. The hotel pool area is a little small but worked out fine. We were there at a busy time and still managed to get loungers/chairs for much of the day. Service staff again were very good. Look out for the monkeys and sloths - they are around in the trees but too shy to come onto the property. Still, the young people enjoyed watching them and taking photos. The "beach resort" part of the hotel property is a private beach that can be accessed down a private road. The beach runs a private shuttle to the beach - which is only open when the tide is out. The tide comes all the way into the cove when it is in. The hotel provides loungers and there is a 'comfort facility" at the beach. We did not stay long enough to figure out how the food/drinks service would work - probably best to plan ahead and have the hotel send down coolers with you. The beach is a combination of white/volcanic sand. There is a large rock pool - which gathers the water so a nice place to hang out and the ocean is not too choppy to swin in. The hotel has all the modern conveniences - safes, wi-fi (make sure to speak to the IT manager if you have a MAC, they had difficulty getting me connected with my apple devices - turned out it was a router error and a conf issue on the devices). There were several other restaurants conveniently located near the hotel - so easy access - try Kapi Kapi and Salsipueda - both offer excellent food and great service. It is a little bit of a hike to Manuel Antonio national park - all downhill so not too bad if you are fit. Coming back, you will need to either get the bus (convenient and cheap!) or jump in a taxi (reasonable). Overall, the hotel is great, the service and amenities are very very good. Everyone goes out of their way to be helpful and they are genuinely friendly. Minor teething issues with some of the technology - but not enough to affect our Pura Vida mood.
