I found Tangalooma Resort a pleasant place to visit. It could probably do with some renovating as some areas like the main bar area is looking a bit tired. We stayed in the Kookaburra Lodge. The room and facilities were satisfactory and clean. Unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side as it was quite cool and windy. I'm sure it would be very different when the sun is shining. My only criticsm was the food choices and cost. There wasn't a nice al la carte restaurant on the island and the bistro meals were limited in variety. All food and drinks were fairly expensive When staying in a hotel room with a family, a week on the island would be very expensive buying 3 meals a day. Also restaurants were not large and I could imagine it would be very difficult finding tables in peak season with the hotel guests and day visitors.
