Just got back from 5 nights at the Riu. It took 4 tries to get the room we paid for. All rooms have ocean views, but get an odd numbered room that also overlooks the pool. The even numbers overlook the noisy A/C fan that runs all night. The room looked wonderful, but was always musty. Carpet felt damp and the dresser drawers stuck. When I took clothes out of the closet they felt wet and had to actually use the hair dryer to dry them! The in-house entertainment was pretty bad (except for the magician). The music at the pool and on the beach was so loud and obnoxious. It wasn't even island music...many times it was loud rap. Even ear plugs didn't help, and forget being able to read a book! There are some positives here, however. All 4 of the specialty restaurants were very good. You must make reservations between 8-9am for that night & can also ask for the next night too. The buffet is always good too, however the food is not always hot (especially at lunch). There is plenty to chose from. The service in all of the restaurants and bars is excellent! If you go next door to Atlantis after 6pm, you can walk right into "The Dig" for free. The casino at Atlantis is beautiful-did not seem very busy-so it was fun.The marina area there has lots of shops and restaurants and gorgeous yachts to look at. Bottom line? Resort looks ok, food and drinks are good, rooms are musty, nightly entertainment bad - we will not go back. Believe the reviews. They are right.

Just returned from a 2-week stay at the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort and couldn't have been happier with our visit. Our room, actually the entire hotel, was modern and very clean, the staff delightful. We had a gorgeous view of the ocean and the beautiful hotel grounds from our balcony. We found everyone we came into contact with to be extremely friendly. I became badly sunburned and Sophia from room service actually brought me a bottle of aloe gel, then called several times to check on me! Ruth from housekeeping also asked about my burn each day. Is that not going above and beyond? We're seriously considering returning next year.

My family and I stayed at the Wyndham the week before Easter. It was ok if you like "Spring Breakers" but the hotel was accomodating in assigning us to rooms in a tower that was quiet and we heard no noise at all. The suites are ok, but not worth the extra money because the standard rooms are big enough. If you plan on going to the casino or the restaurants, request to stay in the tower closest to those areas. The spa was nice but I do not recommend the massages because all that I could hear was the noise coming from the beach. We would return to the Wyndham but would also consider staying at an all inclusive resort because the food is ASTRONOMICAL.

In March 2011 we spent 8 days in the Bahamas and had the best vacation ever. We stayed at the Breezes Resort where we found the staff to be very friendly and always helpful. Our room was cleaned daily and never had to ask for clean towels or anything else. The buffets were plenty and quite tasteful. At the time of our visit it happened to be spring break and there were a numerous amount of college kids but I commend the staff and security at keeping them under control. We never once lacked for activities or entertainment as there was always something to go to or do. The hotel does need a little bit of modernization but I would rate it a 3+star rating and we definitly will be going back there in the future for another enjoyable and relaxing vacation.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were pleasently surprised that we were given a room at the Coral towers instead of the Beach tower. We had stayed at the Beach tower the previous year and were not very happy with the Beach tower. The rooms and the building looked outdated from the 70's . However, once we left our room and went outside, we were amazed how beautiful our hotel was. We had the same access to all places in the resort like the other guests at other expensive towers. This year, we were given a room at no addtional charge at the Coral towers. The face of this tower that we were assigned were renovated and nice. WE were impressed with this side of the tower. The Coral tower still has some of the outdated rooms that look like the Beach Tower. WE were happy with our room. WE also had a great view. If you are expecting a great room , you need to stay at the Royal Towers, or any of the upper class towers that have wonderful rooms such as the cove. However, if you want to save money but still have access to this amazing resort, you may want to may choose the Beach or Coral tower. Just be prepared to receive a room that makes you feel like you are still living in the 70's . The resort is amazing and you will not be dissapointed.

Sort of the orphan child of resorts on Paradise Island. Much less money than Atlantis, but much less resort as well. Buffets were adequate. Mixed drinks were weak. Impressive pool, friendly staff, the outdoor bar/snack bar was pretty good. Main restaurant was closed with no sign of ever opening.
